Habe überlegt nach London zum Start zu fahren und mir das in Live mal anzusehen.

Zum selber mitfahren fehlen mir leider die 40.000 Pfund Startgeld und die einigen Euro´s fürs tanken, Knöllchen etc...

Ich weiß (noch) nicht ob ich am 30. in England bin, werde sonst aber wie auch im letzten Jahr am Start sein.

announces its most ambitious route ever, with a 3000-mile adventure around the world, starting in London and finishing just 8

days later in Los Angeles!

'Picture Pamela Anderson navigating her way through the streets of Bangkok, with Johnny Knoxville, Bam and Tony Hawk

coming up her rear in his beat up Cadillac, and Snoop Dogg in hot pursuit and you start to get the picture, Gumball 3000 is a

real life wacky races!'

Setting the benchmark for all modern day explorers, the start flag will drop in Central London on Sunday 30th April, when 120 of

the most amazing cars, stars and eccentrics will set off on stage one driving a 1000 mile route through Europe, crossing the

capital cities of Brussels, Vienna, Budapest, and upon reaching 'war torn' Belgrade, all cars and drivers will be airlifted in

Russian Antanov cargo planes and an Icelandic Air Boeing 757 to Asia for stage 2.

After landing on a tropical paradise Island off the coast of Malaysia, the route follows a 1000 mile drive through the beaches

and tropical rainforests of Thailand to reach Bangkok for another huge party. The following day the grid will again be airlifted,

this time to Salt Lake City, USA, for the final 1000-mile stage through the desert. After the 'Gumball All-stars' take on the Utah

Jazz basketball team for a game of one-on-one, the route will travel via the Bonneville Salt Flats to Las Vegas for a 'Gumball

exclusive' performance from hip hop legend Snoop Dogg at the Hard Rock Hotel, and then onwards to cross the finish line on

the famous Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on Sunday 7th May, ready to party the night away with Hugh Hefner and his Playmates

at the famous Playboy Mansion!

The first Gumball 3000 took place in 1999, when British Gumball creator Maximillion Cooper invited 50 of his friends to take part

in a 3000 mile Rally around Europe. Eight years later, Gumball has consistently hit the headlines as "Cool Britannia's" most

Ist wieder eine Menge "blah", aber man wird sehen was wirklich kommen wird. Aber das sich die Gumball Organisatoren vor dem Start immer ein bisschen mehr aus dem Fenster lehnen ist ja bekannt.

"The entry fee per vehicle based on two (2) persons in the vehicle is £40,000 GBP for new Gumballers, and £30,000 for previous Gumballers. Additional passengers and/or co-drivers pay a fee of £10,000 GBP per person. Die Gumball HQ sind auch ein Witz, da die auch bei uns in Notting Hill sind dachte ich mir letztes Jahr mal, schau dir doch mal an wie das wohl aussieht, hier das recht lustige Resultat mit welchem ich zumindest nicht gerechnet hatte!

Stimmt habe auch gehört das es 15000€ für Fahrer + Auto sind, und jeder Beifahrer zahlt weitere 10000€. Das hätte ich auf alle fälle mal gemacht.

Aber 60 sind schon heftig.

Eine festgelegte Route zwischen den beiden Punkten gibt es nicht. Also einfach mal bei einem beliebigen Routenplaner die beiden Punkte als Start und Ziel eingeben. Es wird verstänlicherweise die schnellste Strecke gewählt. Ungefährer Start in Brüssel zwischen 24.00 und 02.00 Uhr in der Nacht vom 30. April auf den 01. Mai 2006.

Heuer sind sie wieder in Wien? Wenn ja bin ich Fix wieder dort und werde sie wie letztes Jahr bis zum nächsten Checkpoint begleiten .

Das war letztes Jahr ein geiles Gefühl vor Tausenden am Ring vorbei zu cruisen (so oft wurde ich glaub ich noch nie Photographiert 8) ).

Wenn es wieder einmal nur in Europa ist wie 05, und die Preisklasse bei ca. 20.000€ liegt wäre ich dabei.

Wollte noch mal folgendes ansprechen:

Wenn man sich die Autos anschaut, die bei Gumball alljährlich immer mitfahren, frage ich mich, ob Geld einem derartig die Birne verbraten kann? Das müssen doch alles verrückte Juppies oder potenzgestörte Leute sein, die da ihr hübsches Auto bekleistern ohne Ende und dazu sich und ihr Auto in unkontrollierbare Situationen bringen. Naja, wir als Auto-Verrückte haben ja was davon

PS: Kennt jemand die genaue Strecke 2006? Nicht das was man von der Webseite oder dem Forum erfährt; Mich interessieren da die Checkpoints, oder ist das alles nicht so fest gelegt?

Letztes Jahr wurden alle Checkpoints + ungefähre Ankunftszeit auf der offiziellen HP veröffentlicht. Hoffentlich ist das Heuer auch so, möchte sie ja schließlich nicht verpassen.

Das nutzt mir aber auch nichts wenn sie in Wien vorbeikommen und ich weiß nicht wann. So klein ist Wien auch wieder nichtO:-) .

Also hier ein kleines aber feines Update was den für die Forenleser relevanten Streckenteil angeht:

Cp in Belgien: Chateau de Beloeil, Beloel- Haimaut. (Etwa 40 Km von Brüssel)

Wir werden dort zwischen 22 und 01 Uhr in der Nacht vom 30. April zum 01. Mai aufschlagen. Weiter geht es nach Wien:

Ankunft zwischen 08 und 11 Uhr am Kursaal. Soll bei den "Johannes Gassen" liegen. (Einfach mit der U4 ereichbar) > Wenn ich hier einen Fehler gemacht habe bitte berichtigen, bin dort nicht Ortskundig.

Saturday 29th April:

Kicking off, we've got the Premiere of the "Aiya" boys Gumball film called 'Drivin' Me Crazy' on Saturday 29th April here in Central London, followed by a party with 'Goldie Lookin Chain' performing along with guest celebrity DJs. This will be a late one!

Sunday 30th April:

This is the start day! Cars will park on "display" in Gumballs own "pit-lane" on Pall Mall (London W1, between Trafalgar Square and St. James Palace) between 1-4 PM, and the flag will drop between 4-6 PM, sending drivers en route to a Midnight checkpoint in Belgium via the Eurotunnel. "Attention all Belgian's" to come and cheer us at Chateau de Beloeil, home to the Princes de Ligne between 10PM - 1AM! (Address: Chateau de Beloeil, rue du Chateau, 11, Beloeil, Hainaut, just 40 miles from

Brussels)

Monday 1st May:

After driving thru the night they'll be a breakfast checkpoint in Austria will be in Vienna between 6 - 10 AM at the Kursalon (centrally located with easy accessibility (U4 subway) in Vienna's beautiful inner-city park on Johannesgasse), afetrwhich cars drive to Budapest, arriving between Midday - 4PM at the "Chain Bridge." We want everyone in Hungary to come to see us arrive!

Tuesday 2nd May:

Lunch checkpoint in Belgrade, Serbia between 11AM - 1PM at the City Hall!

ASIA (1000 miles):

Wednesday 3rd May:

This one's secret, so that Gumballers can relax on a "private Island!"

Thursday 4th May:

Gumballers drive from Phuket to Bangkok through the rainforest. Get yourselves to the Asian 'finish' line at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok between 7-10PM.

USA (1000 miles):

Friday 5th May:

After flying to the US, Gumballers get to attend the red carpet Premiere of Mission Impossible 3 at the Larry H. Miller Megaplex Theatre in Salt Lake City, Utah!!!

Saturday 6th May:

After collecting their cars from SLC Airport, all 120 amazing vehicles will 'parade' to downtown SLC to the Utah Jazz home at the Delta Centre for you all to see between 10-11AM. Then they're all driving to the new race track outside SLC called 'Miller Motorsports Park' - this is a great opportunity to watch these beauties at full speed, and all we'll also be putting on a 'drift racing'

display!

Then get yourselves to Las Vegas to the Hard Rock Hotel that evening between 5-8PM to watch the cars arrive. That night hip hop legend 'Snoop Dogg' will be doing an "exclusive" Gumball performance at 'The Joint' inside the Hard Rock. This will be crazy!

Sunday 7th May:

After checking out Death Valley, the Gumballers will cross the finish line on the famous 'Rodeo Drive' in Beverly Hills at approximately 4PM. Rodeo Drive will be closed for the finish, where cars will then be parked on display until 7PM before parading to the Beverly Hilton Hotel. That night Gumballers will party with Playmates at the famous Playboy Mansion where DJ AM, Blink 182's Travis Barker and porn star Ron Jeremy will mix the tunes for the nights party! Who will win the coveted 'Spirit of the Gumball Trophy' this year???
