Do 19" wheels option upset handling?

Hi,

Just spec'ing an M3 Coupe for Feb delivery and I *was* going to add the BMW 19" wheel option but the dealer says he's heard that they upset the handling slightly.

Has anyone any direct experience? I could do with having some feedback in the next 12 hours if possible....

Tell him that his comment is bullsh.. I have 19" wheels and the handling is perfect.

Ive heard the handling is even better with the 18"s. I also think it looks best.

I have also heard that 18" is better for handling. No own experience though.

But if Tiff Needell says 18" better than 19", I'd believe it.

Cheers guys - seems a bit 50/50!

I had actually read in Topgear magazine that with the 19" the car was "a bit more twitchy" than with the 18s...

Since the 18" look the biz anyway I think I'll stick with them.

I've also gone with Laguna Seca which I haven't yet seen in real life so taking a gamble there, and the SMGII which I know will be awesome - a million times better than the SMG on my current E36 which I personally don't mind too much but most people don't like.
