Das ist eine sehr gute Idee. Ich versuche das mal. Werde bei einer Reaktion natürlich sofort Bericht erstatten. Da ich in Brunei im Empire Hotel schlafen werde, frage ich auch den Concierge, ob man die Auto Hallen besichtigen kann.

Selbstverständlich stelle ich dann auch nächstes Jahr Bilder hier ein, welche mit Autos aus Brunei zu tun haben.

Two different SL600 AMG's, both equipped with a 450 BHP AMG engine and AMG bodypannels. The green one was for sale in NZ a couple months ago (it isn't listed anymore, so it could be sold).

Mercedes-Benz SL320 Milia Miglia - 3 pictures

This special edition SL320 was one of the UK based cars and was sold in 2001, it changed hands for the second time earlier this year (2007). It has special detailing to the dashboard and centre console and special wheels.

Here are three pictures of another SL600 AMG, this time a yellow one. It's the same specification as the other Brunei SL's: RHD, painted AMG wheels and it has leather seats that I've only seen in Brunei cars before. I have a strong suspission that this car came from the Royal Collection, but I'm looking for someone who can confirm this with the ebay add these pictures came from. Anyone out there who remembers this car?

One black and white photo of what looks like a red Bentley Buccaneer and another Buccaneer under a white cover. Looking at the background in that picture, I think they were taken @ Stanstead Airport when they were about to leave for Brunei.

Interesting fact about the Dominator is that one of the Dominator mules was left out the back of MPW for a long time, all burnt out You could see it from public roads. The strange thing was that it was a proper body and not a Range Rover.

Bentley Hardtop Convertible - 1 picture

I don't have much information on this one. It has a retractable hardtop by Heuliez, but was put together @ MPW during the last few years the Brunei garages were in business ('97 or '98). The only other car that is a hardtop convertible is the Silverstone, but this car doesn't look like the Silverstone at all. All the names from the big list are allready given away, accept for Phoenix... This car doesn't look like a Phoenix though

Bentley Spectre - 1 picture

Some time ago I posted pictures I found of the Bentley Pegasus sedan and estate. The Sedan('s) I posted was definately the Pegasus, but I'm starting to doubt if the two estate's are really the Pegasus. I think these cars are from the same series, their name could be Spectre or Phoenix. I'll go with Spectre , the predesecor of the Java Estate.

Bentley Rapier - 5 pictures

A few more pictures from, what we assume is, the Rapier. Unfortunately no new leads, but pics from that one time the black Rapier was spotted in London. At least they show the lines of the Rapier a bit better There is a very good chance that this car is still in the hands of the Brunei Royal Family.

This Bentley, that has been in the gallery for quite a long time allready, isn't a normal Turbo R Limousine. The front end of the car is unique, coachbuilt. It definitely is a special Bentley! The indicator lights are NOT turbo R, more like the Sports Estate car. The front fender is more sloped and sporting, with a different front bumper bar and the indicator is most likely from a Bentley Continental R. This could very well be the Bentley Imperial:

This car was made by Jankel and is based on the Bentley Turbo R. It is different to the standard Jankel made Estate or station wagon Bentley called the Val d'Isere as it has a unique front end. This car sports a similar look up front to the Bentley Continential R. It has Continential R front indicators, and under headlight mesh also from the Continential R.

It features a hydraulic four wheel drive system, where two motors are fitted to the front hub section on the front wheels, and are driven by a hydraulic pump connected to the transmission. Quite unique. It is for first gear only and disengages after 30mph.

A total of fifteen Bentley Sports Estates were made. The first in 1991, followed by six more cars in 1993, and a final run of eight cars in 1995. Here are the VIN numbers of the Bentley Sports Estate Car made for the Royal Family of Brunei.

Bentley Race Engines

Currently available; a limited number of Bentley 6.75 V8 twin turbo 500HP engines from the Blackpool project. These engines were a joint project between Bentley and Cosworth and were developed for special projects vehicles on behalf of the Sultan of Brunei. I only heard about one specific case of dumping rims on the sea/ocean. When RR delivered new rims, about 1200 old rims were thrown away.

Well, since that dealer is the only source of information concerning these cars I have not other option than to believe it... But on the other hand they talk about camels in the add, wich is nonsense of course. Maybe the guys who acquired it only saw 3 of these at that location or maybe there really are only three.
