I believe I've finally found (4) pics of the unknown LWB Rolls Royce, philosophically it can be called Phantom VII. It shares no coachwork with other Rolls Royces, allthough the headlights look like the ones from the Silver Seraph. The mechanicals come from a Silver Spirit.

I've also added some more cars that were at official events (60th birthday of the Sultan)

11 pics of the Sultan's Rolls Royce Phantom VI

3 pics of Rolls Royce Silver Spur Touring Limousine's

3 pics of an Bentley Turbo R Limousine

edit: 15 pics of the Singapore Autoshow Dauer 962 LM

Edit: I've also given these 2 Royces a name from the big list. They're either the Rolls Royce Royale, Majestic or Cloudesque. Majestic and Royale sound good for both these cars imho, but it's just a guess:

Hallo Karl,

schau doch mal hier zum Thema Verschiedenes über Autos (Anzeige)? Eventuell gibt es dort etwas Passendes.

Der V16 Motor zum Selberbauen (Anzeige) ist auch genial.

I thought it would be cool to post some info for every Aston Martin Brunei Special, so here it is. I've taken the discriptions from Tim Cottingham's astonmartins.com and editted it here and there.

1991 Aston Martin Virage Lightweight GT

This car built to special order with a special engine has very distinctive front lights that transforms the look of the standard Virage. Notice the bonnet bulge, 6.3 conversion wheels, the extra vents in the bonnet and ahead of the rear wheels and a revised front air dam.

Aston Martin Vantage Special Series I

This is the modern and big version of the DB4 GT Zagato. At least 2 were made, a red and a black one.

Aston Martin Vantage Special Series II

Well this supercharged Vantage based 2 seater is a bit more difficult to describe. It's a bit of a non-descript coupe not like anything really.

One car of these may be loacted in the UK.

I think one of these is featured as the cover photo on Dowsey's book.

1997 Aston Martin AM3

The AM3 is quite unusual for an Aston as it was bodied by Pininfarina in Italy, a company much more associated with Ferrari. The very odd and distinguishing feature of the AM3 is a sort of black plastic looking nose cone which encompasses the lights and grille. From pictures I've seen, it looks like a smoked black plastic. The rear lights are behind a full width smoked black panel. At least two were made, one in red and one in black, none of the AM3's were in garage 5 at the time the list was copied.

1997 Aston Martin AM4

AM4 is the second Pininfarina car, which is best described as a large DB7 on the Vantage chassis - much more conventional than AM3 at the front. The rear lights are again behind a full width black (or perhaps smoked plastic) full width panel similar to that on AM3.

At least three were built, of wich one is red and one is black:

AST AM4 BQ7999 SCFDAM2S8TBR70502

AST AM4 BQ6000 SCFDAM258TBR70504

AST AM4 BS9989 SCFDAM2S8SBR70126

A black Aston Martin AM4 has been spotted at teh Works Service in 2001 by Tim Cottingham.

Lagonda Zagato Rapide

I don't have any information about this one. If you look at the VIN's there are two Lagonda's that stand out, SCFDL01S1ETR13351 & SCFDL01S5ETR13370. Maybe that those are Zagato's. I don't have enough knowledge of Aston Martin VIN's to read them, maybe someone else can?

Here are all the Lagonda VIN's from the 'big list':

AST LAGONDA BN1299 SCFCAMZ56RBR50406

AST LAGONDA BN1288 SCFCAMZ56RBR50404

AST LAGONDA BN1999 SCFCAMZ56RBR50409

1993/1994 Lagonda (Virage) 4 door Saloon & Estate

This is another of the Virage based conversions from Works Service unveiled in early 1994. It came about as the result of a million pound order for four cars for a special customer. The production side of AML produced four long wheelbase Virage chassis which then crossed to the other side of Tickford Street to AML Works Service, who fitted the saloon bodies. The car featured in the press release was finished in Hunter Green with right hand drive; this is the most recent car from AML to have the Lagonda badge.

There are also LWB versions of this model made. These cars were extended by 100mm or more.

Aston Martin Vantage Special Series Type I

This is a supercharged Vantage stretched to become a four door car. The styling is exactly the same as the two door and is characterised by having side glass within the body of the car behind the rear door at the 'C' pillar. This could very well be the succesor of the 4 door (Lagonda) Virage.

At least 2 were made, a black one and a red one complete with chromed six spoke alloy wheels.

Aston Martin Vantage Special Series Type II

Certainly based on the type I, the type II is still a four door Vantage, but looks much more complete, indeed a very convincing saloon. The doors seem to be longer and thus it'll be easier to get into than the type I. The 'C' pillar doesn't have any glass in it at all and overall the car is more rounded. The Type II keeps the six headlights and Jaffa grapefruit rear lights of the standard Vantage.

I believe three were built, a black one, a red one and a grey one.

1993 Lagonda Vignale

The Lagonda Vignale was commissioned by AML (already fully owned by Ford) from Ghia Design (also part of the Ford family) to be shown at the 1993 Geneva Salon. The exterior design was by Moray Callum - an interesting co-incidence as the Geneva Salon 1993 was the first appearance of the DB7, the work of Moray's brother, Ian. This somewhat large car was built on a Lincoln chassis with Lincoln independent front and solid self levelling rear suspension and was powered by a 4.6 litre (190bhp, 260 lb/ft) Lincoln Town Car V8. The reality of the concept is that physically, it had no recognisable AML parts at all. But, had this fabulous car made production (and many thought that it would), the chassis would have become an extruded aluminium affair, the suspension was to be fully independent and the engine would have been a 6.0 litre V12. Whilst these features never made it into a production Vignale - they are exactly the same as found in the the V12 Vanquish.

Certainly two Vignales were built, a grey one and a blue one. The blue Vignale was sold at the famous auction of Ford prototypes in Dearborn in June 2002 for a massive $403,500 (including buyers premium), many times above the estimate of $60,000 to $120,000. So that means that grey one was sent to Brunei, because there was a Design Project Vignale there, namely AST VIGNALE KF20 DP2138 in 1998? Or maybe not; there are some people who believe that a third Vignale was built for a wealthy client of AML, built at the Newport Pagnell factory, probably within Works Service...

Pretty interesting stuff he? :) I'll try to find out more about the 3rd Vignale and will post the info when I get some..

PS

The drawings were made by Mike Harbar and are featured in David Dowsey's book "Aston Martin : Power, Beauty and Soul".
