The other day I was watching top gear, remeber the old programme, the Zonda vs Lambo, where zonda beats lambo in all tests, including that test track. Well the other day they took out the lambo on the same track again, and guess what it was the fastest of all the cars, including zonda, koenig and 911 GT3

i would hope they only use one driver. then it would be more accurate.

the murci being the fastest? I don't know, it must have been some sort of track where awd was an advantage, cause the lambo is way overweight.

I havent seen the footage but i have heard that it was raining or the track was wet, and lets not forget that the smart chaps down at lambo fitted the Murcie with VT (viscous traction) and the Gallardo with ESP (electronic stability program).

just the same, once you're out of first gear and traction is solid, the weight only gets in your way.

In not-so-perfect conditions, hard acceleration through turns will also be another place where AWD excels. There is a reson why E55 needs so many electronics to keep it on the road, and the RS6 doesn't.
