$100K is your limit? Damn. $1K is MY limit!

I already said I agreed their refined and "ergonomically" challenging other Tuners, but they're a teeny tiny bit overrated. Also, like I said, for power, Renntech's the way to go.

100k was lmy limit for hte past 4 years, hehe, but as for amg, i love brabus more, renntech will be my boyz for insane power. Brabus of newport has the sexiest black on black on black mercedes benz's i have ever seen, but i would put on a pair of lorinzzer rims on isntead of theres!!

for my senior prom, me and 7 of my freinds rented a mercedes lorinnzer limo. wow it was soo sweet!! we were the talk of hte prom...for our ride...can you belive that!!

I love Lorinser. If I ever wanted a Mercedes I'd get a Lorinser/Renntech or Lorinser/Brabus modified SL600 or CL600. Gotta love those Lorinser side-skirts and rims.

yes the amg will give you more prestige but I don`t think it will give you the plesure of a real sports car!the GTR will be creazy! If you ask me take a GTR make some ajustments and you will have somthing much better then amg!the 55cl amg have problems with my GT3000!We are together till 180km/h!make your piont! :D

The new AMG SL55 does the 0-60 in 4.3 seconds with an automatic. It is definately a sporting experience.

I think what Vorros means is that it's original incarnation wasn't a sports-car, so whateer you do itll always look like a car modified with a bit of the "sport" spice. I kind'a agree, but I don't think the GTR really fills that gap either.

Also, Vorros, the GTR isn't exactly the kind of car they'll let you take to the streets. If they did then yeah, it would be awesome!

in my opinion the 350z is the best rwd car from japan. but im kinda partial to that because i own one. that car is brutal! so much fun. i saw a video of autocross where a stock 350 beat the skyline r34, boxterS, s2000, and new M3. but again just my opinion

Geschrieben

it doesn't beat a boxster S. I've driven them both. Handling on the 350Z is too soft, 350z is also too heavy. The G35 is a classy car, but Boxster S is faster and better handling.

Geschrieben

maybe it was driver skills? i dont know all i do know is that it came in first. yeah the boxterS is amazing. i cant beleive it is so light! i wish the Z weighed that much and i would be set.

Geschrieben

The boxster is lightweight, and was built for performance, look at the drivetrain - a midmounted flat 6. I'll give it to you, the VQ V6 is incredible, but the suspension and basic layout (and weight) of the 350Z end up screwing it over in the end.

On paper, the track variant of the 350Z will darn near keep even to the S in everything but handling, the lower variants get dealt some pain.

Hallo vorros,

schau doch mal hier zum Thema Zubehör für Andere Automarken (Anzeige)? Eventuell gibt es dort etwas Passendes.

You MUST be joking when you say it beats a Boxster S AND an M3. The 350Z is a very heavy car, so it's a tired animal. It's not terribly slow, but it's also not terribly fast. It's an excellent choice for a Japanese RWD, but to claim you've seen a video of it beating the aforementioned cars, and then saying it's just your opinion, makes it all a bit sketchy.

Geschrieben

a 350z is based on a midsize sedan and has the weight to prove it. It's engine may be nice, but isn't a screamer. There'd be a snow-day in hell before an M3 would get beat by a 350Z.

watch the movie 350z shock. best motoring vol. 6. they have it set up in japan. they raced all the cars on a track

oh and i forget to add that it was just my opinion that it is the best rwd car from japan, not my opinion that it won, that was fact. if u guys have kazaa download the movie from there, then you can see it for free.

im not saying that the m3 is slow or the boxterS, im just trying to relay what i saw. i could understand the skeptisism if it was a home video, but this is real. they placed like this, Z,boxter,R34 skyline,M3,S2000.

it was close between the first 3, the m3 and s2000 were way behind.

an S2000 is not that fast, i agree, but there is no way in hell that a 350Z beat out an M3. No possibility. At speed, a Boxster S will pass a 350Z. I have numerous sources to back this up.

Geschrieben

watch the movie. then get back to me. oh and about the boxterS. i blew the doors off of one yesterday, some old guy who i guess was going through his mid life crisis thought he could hang tough stares at me at 60mph downshifts and takes off. i procede to defecate on his windsheild. who is your source? i got mine on video.

also here is the skid on the m3..92g left .88g right whereas 350z is .99g left, .96g right.

hp on the m3 333, 262 lb-ft

hp on 350z 287, 276 lb-ft

m3 3480lb

350z 3150lb

dont you think that handling could have something to do with it?

dont get me wrong i love,LOVE M3s. one of my favs. i also love porsche. but the fact is that nissan put out a car to compete with them, and i think it does it very well. also for the price you can get a z for, its unbeatable.

i think djfux hit a nerve!!

I've driven them both. Handling on the 350Z is too soft, 350z is also too heavy. The G35 is a classy car, but Boxster S is faster and better handling.

i dont know whether this is my misunderstanding you but although the g35 and 350z are pretty much identical there are some very profound differences that affect driving driving. lsd(big difference), gear ratios, wheelbase, and suspension(g35 is much more comfortable). i dont know whether you assumed them to be the same since one is a modified version of the other or whether you had actually driven the 350z or the g35.

i would 100% take the BoxterS over the 350z anyday for a list of reasons that are irrelevant. but if the z beats it then thats just how it is.

the basic suspension geometry is the same between G35 and 350Z. I drove both of them before buying my Boxster S. I am not sure who was driving the cars in the video, or what was done to them, but the 350Z is NOT faster than a Boxster S. 0-60 time from Motor Trend on the Boxter S is 5.2 - MT says it is 5.4 on 350Z from - from their track testing. The Boxster S continues to open the distance between all the way to the speed limiter.

by the way - where are you finding a published number of .99 on the skidpad for 350Z, everything I can find is not close to that.

Geschrieben

it is a comparison on one of my magazines. car and driver i think? i will find it and let you know. they compare the 330i, rx-8, and 350z to see if the rx-8 is the perfect mix between room, and speed.

maybe the 0-60 time is better on the boxter (even though i have seen 5.6 and 5.5) but the best 1/4 mile i have ever seen from a stock S was 14.0. the best i have seen from a bone stock 350z was 13.8

Geschrieben

sorry for the repost. i found it in automobile magazine. they do the comparison in there. i beleive it is a 200ft skid. they say .99g right, .96 right.

oh and the cars in the videos are all stock.

hi guys,

If you're talking about spin racing ,is not easy to beat a Boxster for 350z, but if you're talking a track racing, its totally different story....can you guys explain, why NSX and Supra always win in the Japan GT race?..we can find skyline, porsche,BMW even a Lamborghini participated in the race...I think the handling is still the most important thing for a car. This is just my opinion.

Peace..enjoy driving..
