Mosler mt 900. They made 2 versions:

r900 is the one used in the british gt

s900 is the street version

the car weights 900 kilos. (plus 21 gallons of fuel), and powered by a mid mounted 435 hp Corvette Z06 V8. You can put a twin turbo on this car (as lingenfelter as example) from 550-725 bhp.

This car was analysed from motor trend with other cars as murcielago, viper and others. It has a 0-60 in 3,13 and a 1/4 mile in less the 12 secs.

Imagine with a 725 bhp package, many people think this would be one of the fastest cars with such horsepower.

the car's light weight chasis would have difficulty with that much power. Putting it down would be unstable, and the body would have to be bolstered to strengthen it to take it. Also, it doesn't handle as well as its weight would suggest. None the less, very cool.

well with 550 i tink it can handle that, there are other cars with such weight and such power, but you right when you say they need to adapt that twin turbo with the mosler. They told me is possible to do it, but this requires some extra work then putting it on a normal corvette.

the mossler's engine bay is a little bit tighter too.

do you know if next year besides the gt british, mosler will run even in an other challenge.

And also a suggestion:

I will buy a car at end of 2004, have to decide between a mosler(with a nice exterior as the racing version) and a murcielago(waiting for a special edition like a roadster, a sv or a twin turbo by affolter in suisse near me here). You think mosler can compete with the murcielago non only as power and performances but really as shape. For me the two cars seem very close under all aspects, but for my opinion and my taste mosler is more though and sporty
