I'm also a big fan of GT3! Beat this: 100% complete, 99.9 % wins (1 loss). I agree, the endurance races are not funny, I turned my TV off over a night and continued next day!

Ever tried to go supersonic speed? I reached 1656 km/h! Pretty cool watching the re-play! ALL setting should be as ever low as possible but the rear wing as high as possible. Make sure the gear settings are very low. Go out on the testcourse and the front will lift after a while, then it will accelerate! Ofcourse it's a bug.

GT4 is a must-have!

I was just curious as to how GT4 was coming along, and I found these great screenshots. This game is a total tour de force, the realism is turning out to be just insane! I haven't gamed in a while, but when GT4 comes out, I'm going to be partying like my post count is 1999!

holy piss.....yea this game has been very anticipated....

ive been waiting for this game to come out to finally pull my wisdom teeth(i know i should done it years ago) but i wanted something that can really occupy my time and thought...this game is it. dude, just look at the detail of the blurred audience....the only way i can tell that it is computer generated is the texture filters they use... beyond that.... forget it

The only thing I find kind of half assed about the images, are the audience actually. Notice in the 6th. pic that every group is just the same seven people pictured over and over again. If they worked on this, and really made the people move around independetly, this would add so much in regards to the overall effect of live action.

But GT4 will indeed be leaps and bounds above anything else. Unlike GT2, they have been allowed to take their time with this obviously.

Can't find the discussions about how accurate the M5 will be in Gran Turismo 4... however, I saw that when the Concept M5 was showed they had a PS2 Console for everyone to try it! I think that says something about a relationship.

This is the opposite of what happened with GT2, which was pushed out before it was really ready, because Sony couldn't wait for that money.

But at least this time they're making sure it is how they really want it. Have you read about the level of content they're putting into GT4? It's enormous. ( !!! )

As a sidenote, they even included the graffiti all over the track at Nurburgring. I saw a still, and I'm pretty sure that was the 'gring. What other track would inspire graffiti artists?

I really hope that the Nurburgring is on GT4. It's as close as we're going to get to driving on the real thing. Then if you do get a change to drive on it you know it nearly by heart because of racing on it constantly on GT4

Then you won't be so surprised when you actually start driving on it.

I agree, I also stopped waiting for this game... I sold my Ps2 and bought an Xbox! Sony seems to put money on disabling for their customers. Never Sony for my part again. An example, why disable full RGB quality when I watch my movies? A green screen is what you get, and it would have been easier for sony to allow both moviewatching and game playing with the same rgb cable, but you can't!! Therefore Xbox.

The Nurgurbring is most deffinitely in GT4, it's one of the premier tracks in the game. GT4 will be a great training ground for really being there. It sounds to me like the Complex String - only longer.

A single lap on the 'gring is 15 Euros, about a 7% increase from last year, but still not a bad price to drive it. The more laps you buy the better deal it is.

You can watch movies on the PS2 without switching the cables, at least the way I have it set up.

I just put in the movie in my PS2 and turn the line to DVD and voila. No switching cables or anything. You might have an older tv that doesn't accept the cables???

That's what I'm talking about LNC, the GT4 Nurburgring will be damn good practice for when you really drive it in real life. By then you'll know the track by heart.

yea i dont know what the problem is with the rgb setup.... i have all my everything going through an amplifier anyway... so ..whatever.

Ok, seems like it's only on PAL - not NTSC then I guess.

It's not my TV scart that can't handle composite signals. This RGB scart problem is widely common on PS2. It also mentioned in manual.

All versions before V7 is fixable by making soldering a jumplink, but you have to modify it - disturbing as guarantee is lost. I'm guessing that Sony don't want a cheap PS2 to play movies in the quality of highend dvd players. I actually had my V4 ps2 fixed for rgb dvd playback, it broke down after a while because of another problem - I sold it as it was and bought a new, V7.

Looking over the net I realised it's not fixable, I'm not the only one trying to get rgb quality on my movies. There are forums that handle stuff like this.

So, now I had enough - it's easier for them to let us watch movies in high quality - but they choose to put money on disabling for customers. I don't buy stuff like that.

Ive heard that the release date ( in UK) is March 1st. also the track count is down from 120 to around 46 + reverse, and the car count is down from 1000 to 450. Lets hope that the tracks are used evenly this time. The Rome Night circuit was used obnce in the entire game, what a waste.

Also, it will be released with no online play and will release a special cut down online version later on in the year. There is a facility where you can photograph any car in many locations with one of 300 cameras at much higher quality than in game or replay. What you can do in terms of exporting these images is anyones guess.

Ive got 38,000,000 in the bank but cant buy one. AAAAAGGGGGHHH!!!!! Any one any ideas, I heard that when youve won a race, you can select the car you want by scrolling them with the D Pad but I cant seem to get it to work.

In arcade mode Ive completed all the time trials exept the last one (porsche 911 on the complex string track) im still 2.5 secs off. These are definatley the hardest things in the game.

Actually No!

You can buy it modded, and get a new big harddrive - rip your dvd movies and put your games on the harddrive for fast startup. If you want you can also play your dvdmovies without remote! But I would like not to touch my movies and games as they are more worth when you sell them when they are free from scratches!

Wow, that's strange (that's hella lot of money too by the way). I've never heard of being able to scroll through prize cars and picking the one you want. But here's what you should do to win an F1. Enter a Series Race where there is a chance of getting awarded an F1 ( you should know them all by now ). Before the final race of the series, save your game. This way if you don't get the F1 afterwards, you simply reset and complete the last race again without having to start the whole series over. Do this until the game finally hacks up a well deserved F1 for you.

Screwing customers with low quality when they could just as easily give them good quality, just to protect the sales of more expensive products is bad, I hate that too. But I've found the DVD quality on the PS2 to be as good as any. The main DVD problem with PS2 that I've ever heard of is the disc drive motor burning out on earlier models.

It did, and it's awesome. They messed with the camera so you can feel the car's weight shifting. Must be incredible with the wheel. Only thing they're missing is a clutch and a cabin view.

Kris just received his GT4 game 3 days ago and I must say it's AWESOME! The driving is a little different than in GT3, it's more precise and A TON more realistic. It's like in real life, if you cut the wheel to sharp then you'll lose speed. It makes understeer feel very real and will really teach you to learn how to properly drive.

Everything is realistic, it has all the brand names and alot of features that the GT3 doesn't have.

I give this game all the thumbs up, it was sooooo much worth the long ass wait for.

yea im going to be buying the wheel very shortly. its very hard to get gold on all the license tests without it. tapping the joyce stick just isnt cutting it.

i do wish they would have ferarris lamborghinis, koenisasgksjdfovoasfegg and the carerra gt...
