i dont know, i find it hard to beleive that a car with intake, exhaust, headers. flywheel, and LSD was only .02 seconds faster then "stock" i just think they didnt write down what they had done. notice towards the bottom they actually wrote "stock" next to a few cars. also notice the fastest time is a 13.5..... thats with a turbo, slicks and exhaust!!! that time right there makes me beleive that car is doodie. do the same mod to a gsr and your in the high 12s.

The guy pulling 14.0 in his stock celica obviously knows how his car works, knows when 2 shift and knows it in and out.

It is relatively easy 2 make a stock celica outperform a mod’d celica cuz it solely depends on the DRIVER and how well he knows his car.

If that is not enuff proof I drove to Birmingham, Alabama about 2 weeks ago to see the weekend “show.”

There was a guy with a 2000 Eclipse GT that ran a 14.67@ 98mph. I caught him and asked wat he had

Mod’d in his car in order to make that kind of run. He told me he was bone stock and I asked to look in his

engine bay and he was bone stock. He told me he’s been racing his car ever since he bought it so he knows his car perfectly.

He knows when to shift and where to shift at wat time.

So that’s proof it depends on how well the driver knows his car.

People that drive and race their cars everyday would know their car perfectly and completely.

I read the instructions of the site’s forum and it said to leave the “power adders” section blank if ur car was

stock so the guys that actually have mod’s will have that space entitled to put wat they have and not clutter space.

The guy that put stock in the power adder's section doesn't pay attention

2 wat the sites say, therefore, he's an idiot.

the driver is huge in the car's performance. I know that not many people can turn over a factory rated run in the RSX, mostly because of how and when you shift is not what you are used to, especially not in a honda. The gearing and torque band are odd on that car, odd in a good way, but i hear people all the time complain they can't get under 6.5 in their RSX-S's, and i know guys who can drive that car sub 6 stock. The driver is big, sure. Celica is not god's gift to performance cars.

yeah i agree its definetly driver skill... but those times are almost too good to be true.

Well i never said it was god's gift 2 performance cars cuz its not.

But it is a great car for the price and for it bein gr8 in its low-class society.

low-class society.

i'm going to ignore that.

And i agree with DJ, those numbers are almost too good to be true because they are.

I generally think that an eclipse or RSX-S would be better for the dollar, perhaps even the mustang V6 is more performance to the dollar.

low-class society.

i'm going to ignore that.

yea... i cant. id rather drive a car that performs worse than a car grouped in the 'low-class society' and have a brain. hence the signature
doesnt matter if my car is slow... i know what i am talking about.
now the funny thing is the other signature ... whos author should remain nameless
If nobody in the world was stupid there would be no way for intelligent ppl to seem intelligent.
and thus our reasons for existance.

Okay, you guys are going to have to be a little more specific. I'm not sure what cars you're talking about anymore.

All I have to say is that the Celica may not be " God's gift ", (and no one said it was, a lot of good cars are not ) but the Celica's mere existance is a gift of sorts.

celica is good, but RSX-S is better, that's just how i see it.

And clearly by the statement "If nobody in the world was stupid there would be no way for intelligent ppl to seem intelligent.", you have proclaimed yourself an elitist, by which you have made yourself the former in your statement.
