Schooled it? Not quite. The Turbo of the day would have been the 3.6 based on the 930. Here are some published numbers below ...

Now those aren't even the best numbers achieved by a stock ZR1, and 65k is still a far cry from 110. The Turbo was a quite formidable competitor, but I wouldn't say the ZR1 was " schooled ". In this day and age, a $100,000 Corvette could dominate a 911, at least in most catagories. Look what the ZO6 has accomplished from a price only about $7,000 higher than base.
