i am sure there is somewhere, there are no stock ones though. i have heard of the 3.8L M5 Inline six getting turbocharged up to 800, so why not a thousand? I don't see why you couldn't force feed the 4.9L M5 V8 up there?

The BMW engine in the McLaren F1, which was going to be in the M8, can produce a rumoured 1000bhp.

I've seen several charged BMW cars which would produce around 600bhp, but that's with a charger. A BMW car does just fine with the horsies it has, no need to boost it up.

yeah, but they only ever made 50 of those F1 V12s, I am sure they could be made more powerful, but BMW is under contract not allowing them to make any more of them. Imagine the E60 M5 V10 - then twin turbocharge it, 4 digit output - why not?
