Charging the battery

Hi all, just curious, do you need to start and drive a car to charge its battery or just start it and let it run for some time ??? Does the answer apply to all cars ???

with most cars you should keep the rpms up to charge it. but with my tiny battery i can just let it idle for a little and its ok.

This is true, recharging the battery of a little car like Bleh's would be a simple affair. But on other vehicles, like one's with a lot of auxiliary hardware ( power this, power that ) it's a good idea to drive it around at speed for about a half hour. Although it's a good idea to do this with any car after recharging a dead battery, assuming your alternator is in working order.
