ok i can't believe they actually went and made the CCR, like the CC8S wasn't fast enuf, i read somewer that the CCR can tear the 1/4 mile into pieces, something like 9 flat. the CC8S was supposed to do something like 245 mph but never achieved it cuz it hadn't been tested to the max, and now the CCR is to be tested at Nardo to top even that. this car scares me

one thing that takes away the "exotic-ness" from this car for me is the fact that it is a 4.7 liter supercharged ford V8, i mean its an incredible and astounding and nuthing less than scary piece of machinery made to wreak havoc on u'r courage every time u go near the accelerator pedal, but i jus don't like the whiny supercharger noise in an exotic, i mean its not exotic anymore to me, sure its all carbon fibre and makes i excess of 800 horses, i jus think they shud have a better engine

Have u seen the power and torque curves? They are amazing. They look like it had a NA engine under the hood. It seems because the FI is realized with a system that mixes together the caracteristics of a supercharger and a compressor the torque and power are delivered linear through all the rev range. The FI system is also highly thermodinamycally and mecanically efficient. This says a lot on the refinenment of the car: not at all turbo lag (like with turbines), little lost of power (because of drag on the distribution belt) like with classic superchargers and compressors, but a lot of power and torque right where u want it.

So don't tell this car should have a better engine. It's one of the best there is. There some ideas there that u'd hardly find in other cars.

Even after this u say it needed a better engine, I don't know what u would want. The Koenigsegg team studied a lot before building this thing. Koenigsegg himself is heart to be a very good autodidact engineer...

Well, I guess I'll never understand why people want NA, even when the engine has the caracteristics of NA engine.

By the way, speaking NA versus FI, where is Fox so he would share his point of view with us? He's also a fan of NA and versus all kind of FI...

the CCR is easily the best done supercharged engine around. it's torque curve mirrors that from a pagani zonda's 7.3. It's ignorant to call that a ford V8, the crank is custom italian F1, as are the pistons and rods, the block started out ford, true, but they've bored it, modified, redesigned the oil system, given in new heads, just done total wonders on it. If ford can get 390 from their S/C 4.6 and the CCR gets over 800 from their 4.7L, wouldn't you say something would have to be profoundly different, moreoever, why complain about how when you have that much power that is that flexible?
