I normally post on the German side of carpassion, so hello !!!

I have been asked to see if anyone on carpassion is taking part or is interested in the Player's run, NY to LA in June 2004 ?? Apparently they are looking for some more exotic cars to take part :D

Thx, regards,

Felix

Should be a laugh... They have included various stops at US tracks, jet plane flying, police escorts and even a closing party in the playboy mansion.... :D

There's a hefty price tag :o , but I've been told that they are willing to give discounts to group entries and/or "rare and special cars". Send me a pm if you want more details or a direct contact.

Regards,

Felix.

Sounds just like the Gumball 3000 rally, $12,000 entry fee and all. I think they also had a finish party at the Playboy mansion during the 2003 race. The whole thing sounds like a blast, and I vow to enter one of these wild road races one day.

I've seen some of those videos too, you can actually rent them at your nearest rental store (Mischief3000), and I don't know where some of these people get the money for these cars (probably the old fashioned way, inheritence). Most people who can afford the cars you see in the vids are in a postion (such as a business) where they can't afford a criminal record. The guy in the '03 Gumball rally with the F50 got caught going 186. Can you imagine: "JESUS CHRIST!!!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW FAST YOU WERE GOING BACK THERE!?!? :o:o:o Umm, sorry officer, I thought it was the brake pedal. :-? "

Who said you had to have a clean record to make money? Especially these days :D. I have to wonder how a cop caught up with a guy doing 186. The Ferrari could be in another state before he took the donut out of his mouth.

A big part of those races is just the showmanship, cameraderie, and excitment. It's probably the one time in life where you can get arrested and it's no big deal, because a bunch of others are getting arrested with you. The ideal situation would be to hire your lawyer to follow your car in a helicopter so he can bail you out, and you won't lose much time.

Hell i watch that bout twice a week be4 i goto bed.

I Love it and I WILL be one of those very soon.

I gotta wait though until i can buy the 1997 M3 or 2003 M3 have the E36 supercharged or have the E46 sent to Dinan.

Or i could jus turn my skyline into a monster and slap a huge ass single turbo on it.

Either way i'm gonna compete in one in the next 1 or 2 years.

Melissa said i'm stupid for wantin to do it but when she heard bout bad ass parties and shoppin in LA and NY she was all for it. lmao

Woman i swear so easy to please. hehehehe :D:D

If I'm not mistaken, a smaller twin-turbo setup is a better option ( less lag ), than a single huge turbo, although any turbo is cool.

I'm kind of surprised these races aren't outlawed, but they would go on anyway. And a lot of the time the race is sponsoring a worthy cause, so if the cops try to spoil the fun, they just look like punks. Wait, they do anyway. :D I read once that a couple of cops from Michigan entered their squad car into the Car&Driver One Lap of America one year, thats' one way to end your career in the force with a bang.

Either way, if you enter a race like that, it's wise to load your car up with a police radio, radar detector, jammer, and all that other stuff. Everyone else will be following you.

general rule of thumb is that TT is less lag, but less power most of the time, while a huge single T will give more power but more lag. for a highway race a single is ideal, TT is for racetracks.

Hallo Nevereverlift,

schau doch mal hier zum Thema Zubehör für Verschiedenes über Autos (Anzeige)? Eventuell gibt es dort etwas Passendes.

An exception to this though would be the 450 hp. Bentley Arnage T which is equipped with twin Garrett T3 turbos. The Arnage had formerly used a single large Garrett T4, but the switch enabled more linear power delivery through a wider range.

Gotta love it though when that big ass turbo kicks in! :)

its not an exception. they have twin setups that will push 800whp. BUT you cant TT big turbos, so if you get one big one usually its good for serious psi, 50ish. that ONE turbo will give you way more power than a TT setup, well unless you can fuigure out a way to spool 2 quad ballbearing turbos :D
