This is the Saturn equivelant to the Solstice, the Saturn Curve.

Powered by a 2.2 liter supercharged Ecotec inline-4, of 230 hp. and 220 lb.ft. and mated to a 5-speed Getrag manual trans.

" Although the Curve has a very sophisticated and relaxed feel, it's still a fun to drive sports car, but the selection of color, materials and lighting convey maturity and sophistication. " - Shuichi Yamashita, lead exterior designer.

" As much as the Curve is a driver's car, it's also a reflection of the mindset of the driver. As people spend more time in their vehicles, a warm, personal environment becomes more important. A car like the Curve which is both functional and thoughtfully designed, provides that environment. " - Nicho Vardis, lead interior designer.

Although to me, those things are always important, I quite agree with them about the Curve. And since we know this car will be a sports car, it's a safe bet the design will stay fairly intact when production comes. I think we'll see some cool things from the Kappa platform in the years to come. :)

damn, that is one cool ass car.

almost makes saturn kinda cool.

these cars are sorta GM's way of saying Suckit Honda! Your S2200 has nothing on us!

I'm glad they put a good tranny on these (getrag).

Fox are you going to be pissed when they put the standard saturn dashboard in it? :P

i have faith GM will be decent enough not to put their average "worst in class" could have been designed by a 5 year old, made out of used play dough dashboard in such a good car.

Saturn is cool. I think the Curve dash will be unique, and used play-dough designed by a five year old dash? I have more respect for Saturn than that, I always kind of liked the layout, it's not all up in your face. A young lady friend of mine has a wagon, a '98 I think, I find it cool.

Saturn has been on a mission to " upscale " their products, hopefully though they won't get too expensive, that would kind of undermine their reason for exsistance.

I fault them for being too plain and unoffensive. I like saturn because it is what a good american automaker should be, and that steel space from S series car was amazing. the best economy car of the day i'd say. The interior always came off as cheap and done with little attention, which i thought betrayed how otherwise good the car was. The dash isn't awful, especially for the price, but a car like this needs top notch. And my description refers to the generic GM dash, which is making its way into saturns. the generic gm dash (they all look alike, malibu, impala, cavalier, blazer), they are all just junky. Ford and Chrysler can make a nice interior (for moreso, the brand new chryser concorde limited we rented over christmas had an air conditioner vent not correctly put in, it was crooked and started to fall out), but ford interiors have always impressed me.

i hope GM makes this car as good as it should be.
