Koenigsegg is listed in Guinness Book of World Records as the worlds powerful series produced car in the world. I love it so much.:lol::lol:

Guinness needs to get their head checked. I wonder how much Eggy had to pay for that little plug. So far, the Eggy is far from being " series produced ". They have yet to get out of the garage. By the time they do, their car will be overshadowed by something else.

On their site it (still) sais McLaren F1, but it doesn't matter because soon MB will come out with a unrestricted 65 car and that record will be history anywayz.

The Mercedes-Benz 65 cars are going to be overweight, rocket propelled death traps, that won't be able to handle the power they're given. Too much of one thing, and not enough of something else. Not what I consider impressive.

Well, if you look at the numbers (like the Guiness officials will do) then the MB comes out on top. Ofcourse we all know that it's not a real record.

Anywayz the Guiness book of records has been wrong in many cases in the past. Most notorious being the record of Kevin Mitnick, read all about it rightnah:

SL65 is not going to be at all stable. My uncle has the SL55 and that gets dangerous as hell sometimes, and more power and that chasis won't handle it, electronics or not.

i don't believe the LM is considdered a series production car.

From what I heard, Guinness approached Koenigsegg for the entry in the book, and currently I believe there are about 7 cars delivered to owners in Europe and Arabia.

It's definately a production car, they are aiming at 15 cars per year for 2005, and by the time it gets certified in the USA that could easily incerease to 50.

Also, if it weren't series produced why have this? http://www.koenigsegg.com/contact/index.asp?submenu=2

Because if they didn't how would they sell any at all?

As it stands, they aren't building 50 per year, the number they're building now would hardly qualify the car for some production based races. Guinness is a popular book, but I wouldn't say it's an " authority " on anything.

Hallo 8-ball,

schau doch mal hier zum Thema Zubehör für Andere Automarken (Anzeige)? Eventuell gibt es dort etwas Passendes.

Officialy the Egg isn't a prodyction car yet. There are too few of them around to qualify for that category. It's funny because when it comes to landspeed record for a supersonic car Guinness obey's the rules set forward by the FIA but when it comes to production cars it doesn't. Specialy since the Egg still hasn't proven what it can do. When the time comes I'm sure it will but for now it hasn't.

I wouldn't trust Guiness at all, not a very good source for Automotive information. Frankly, I don't get the whole record thing much anywise...

Even if it was true, probably only by what, 10mph? Also consider that the McLaren is almost 10years old, a legend it will be.. :D

Then again, maybe the CCR will....... :o
