It seems like everybody here says they have a Lambo or a BMW or an Audi etc. Where I live not everybody who loves cars has a nice one. So why is it that all of you people have sweet cars. Is it a trick or are 75% of you lying.

well, not all of us have the best cars, a lot do.

Performance cars are a hobby general most accesible to people with money. if you really enjoy cars and make it a priority, you can have something pretty special, there are just sacrafices.

I love my cars, and most of them are pretty nice, my garage may not be as well decorated as kleine's, but I won't complain.

I think that people are more intereted in cars that they can actually afford. It is that way with me at least. I am not so much into the cars that are super expensive. Even though I couldn't afford it anyway, I am usually not that into cars that are more expensive than like maybe a Saleen S7. The great thing about loving cars is the dreams you form. If you don't even dream of being able to afford a Veyron, you wouldn't be as into it. This site is more focused on supercars, so the people who are most into supercars, are naturally, the ones who can afford them.

Geschrieben

Well, the Saleen S7 is about as expensive as anything out there short of an Enzo.

Think of it like this 8-ball, someone could say they have a Ferrari 328, but that doesn't mean that their 328 has not been in the garage for 3 years with the engine out, sitting on blocks with primer all over it :) .

Geschrieben

Ehh, I dunno, the S7 is about 400 grand. A Mercedes CLK-GTR Roadster would run ya around 1.5 million. They really get up there, huh? After all, who couldn't love the Saleen? It's the meanest lookin' car ever!

Geschrieben

uh, you can get a 328 for a fairly decent price. We looked at them before getting the boxster (the reliability of an old ferrari pushed us hard towards a new porsche). They are fairly accesible if you want them enough, and affording the S7 means you are scary wealthy.

Geschrieben

many people say they have a nice car, so what, maybe is true, if you realy realy but realy like cars, you will do everythink to have them, even get in a sereous trouble, but at the end you have the car or cars you want

i'd love a 911, i'm not about to go try to jack one. I'm not about to start selling crack to get the money to buy one either. I love cars, but the best part is doing the best with what you have. I know my 318i is no big deal, but I've done a lot with the car, and I can do a lot with what i've made out of it, and to me that is almost as good.

And the boxster is sort of a toy i get keys to.

sure, there is a special quality about a '94 civic, you know, the kind of thing kleine gets jealous of when he sees you from the window of his 911tt

yup, and do you know why? its because they are sooo fast and soooo hard to find.

no kidding

man, i'd kill to get me some '94 civic action. you'd have to like go on ebay to find one.

Ebay lists hundreds of them actually, but besides the point.

Yeah, there are a few in the neighborhood, with the grey hub caps, whenever one goes by, you've never seen bystanders so excited! :P Especially the one with the Special Limited Edition knocked out headlight, thats' rare man.

around here if yours has rust, you have to worry about people coming by and stealing parts off it, like your wipers and mirrors.

on a serious note: although i lose to minivans, and my car is annoying as piss sometimes, i do love my car. she is a dirty dumb slut, but she has served me well. it is a strange love hate relationship. i guess its kinda like that one annoying ex-girlfriend. really quite a bother, but she still got the 'job' done.

Geschrieben

i totally understand. my daily driver was a volvo 740 for a while, i know what being beaten by a minivan is about. My 318 isn't the fastest on the road, but it is a ton of fun, and i'm not afraid to drive it hard. it's small and very nimble, i can weave through traffic at high speed the way sad guys in their impalas wish they could. It is a beater, but i love her.

And for when i feel like putting on the ritz, the boxster is as close as the next stall over in the garage.

i have a bmw and a golf but the golf is my daily driver and the bmw is when i go out and i know i will find someone to do a little race :)

i'd have a hard time pulling myself out of the M3 :D

I am quick to admit it, I have a serious car fetish. I have already purchased over 20 cars and I am barely into my 30's! I have been lucky to have my business take off to the point where I do not have to trade up any more hence why my stable is still growing. Every time I save up a large chunk to put down on a bigger house I wind up adding a new toy. Something about the power of a muscle car, or the finesse of a properly sorted out German sedan that is well.. addicting. Still need a diabolo 6.0 still need an ultima gtr

I don't mean to be a d1ck, but that's pretty hard to believe. Even though that's what I want to do. :-?

Well as most of you don't know I don't have my driver's lisence yet. I'm youth. And I am almost done all of my swimming classes to go on and be a lifeguard of something ($12/hour). And I'm thinking of starting a website all because I want a BMW when I'm 18. So is there a trick or a tip on how to make that happen.

Geschrieben

How to start a website, or how to make your dreams come true? Ask Roland about starting a website, I would even suggest for him to write up a thread about how he started Carpassion. I'm sure he is knowledgeable.

About making your dreams come true, nothing is more important than finding something you love, something you can dive into ( no pun intended ) and doesn't feel like a job. When you find that, it will get your mind rolling about ways to make the most of it, both financially and for the enjoyment of it. Just like a passion for cars, brings about the best of them - a passion for your life's work brings the greatest rewards. :)

Also, with your current job, I would suggest this - spend a little, save more.

Although ur makin more than me right now 8-ball  business is slow here.

I usually don't get to many offers during january thru april. So money is slow.

Also, be glad ur gettin $12/hour for LifeGuarding, here u barely will get $7/hour.

On back 2 the subject, I love my Skyline and i sorta like my eclipse.

I useta think (back in the day) 4cyl eclipses were the shit stock until i kept gettin reamed by hatchback civic's with fart pipes and under-the-hood goodies.

Then that's when i got pissed off and i had most of the under-the-hood goodies put in my car and i was finally able 2 do the reamin back.

Then car's like the 350z and 300zx TT's were racing me and i was gettin my ass humiliated.

SO that pissed me off again enuff to say, screw it, and get the SDS.

Now i'm pretty satisfied with my eclipse being a very low 13 second car.

I don't have ne intensions on trying to make it a 12 second car cuz its jus an eclipse.

No need to have a daily driven 12-second eclipse, i think it's pointless.

There's guys out there that really do have very low 12-second 3g's out there but they also can usually only afford these kinds of cars and not better.

So they tend to make the best outta wat they have and be happy with it.

I on the other hand, am not limited to these kinds of cheap cars so i'm not gonna waste a butt load of time and money into suffin i already have that'll beat it.

Newayz, u can goto www.angelfire.com and they'll tell u step-by-step on how 2 make ur very own website.

I useta make tons of websites when i was in the "computer networkin/programmin" gig but once u know everything bout computers it gets boring quickly.

I'm prolly gonna be the same way with cars but i have security in fact that, there's a shit load of things about a car and u can hardly know everything about them.

So i know when i'm gettin on up there close to dcvenom's age i'm prolly gonna be exactly like him, A car whore.

Well, I've actually found a site for makin' sites. It's called pureideasplus.com. Since I'm probably getting into sales; I thought it was pretty good pricing. And, actually skyline_r34v. I'm not working. When I said youth I ment 13 (aka 12). But I'm almost qualified to be a lifeguard which makes $12/hour here. Also, I found this thing saying that companies will pay you to drive one of their cars with advertising all over it. On this site (thefreecar.com) they said you can make up to $3200 a month! It sounds like a scam but makes sense when you think about it. Why should a company pay $15000 a month to put their ad on a billboard that nobody looks at. But pay $3200 a month to advertise on a car that will catch almost everyone's eye. So I've come to a conclusion. I shall drive a completly black M3; to advertise for BMW.

Geschrieben

Paying people to drive a " billboard car " makes a lot of sense business wise. In fact I have seen a couple in my own town, a Suzuki Vitara advertising Red Bull beer, with a huge beer car in the back, and I think a Honda, advertising some kind of drug, like Viagra. If you don't mind looking like a bit of a fool, I suppose it's easy money.

If you were to drive an advertisment car 8-ball, it probably would not be a BMW advertising BMW, but rather a more humble car, plugging an embarassing product, like a Charmin toilet paper Honda Civic. If you already have a car for them to mess with, and you can make a few grand a month, that should get you into your own BMW at some point. What the hell, it's a start. You're under 18, so you're not old enough for this program, but you have plenty of time to think about it.
