people have thought of using rotating valves for a long time. It is a great idea, implementing it well has been hard. I'm really impressed they got that working like that.

The only problem is it's natural gas. Someone should build a gas engine like that.

There is nothing wrong with it being natural gas. Alternative fuels are an area that should be developed further. If they can oneday make alternative fuel engines to compete with gas engines, then more power to them.

simply put, as much as I love ethanol and natural gas, per quantity, they all develop fewer BTU's than gasoline does. That is why cars are slower running on E85. You could increase the compression ratio to try and make up for it, but the fact stands you'd have to burn more to go faster.
