Anyone have any photos of this quite frankly sexy motor car? It's the best-looking thing to come out of Japan in a long time! :D

maybe it's just me, but it looks a lot like a japanese Enzo to me. The problem with NSX has never been it's looks, but its lack of horsepower.

Geschrieben

Yeah, that does look like an Asian Enzo. The NSX looks better. Every good car usually has one really noticable virtue. With the NSX, it was never about horsepower, rather it was such a good sportscar due to it's balanced chassis.

And if horsepower is really important to you, than the NSX was never at a loss for tuning potential.

Geschrieben

The handling was sorted by Ayrton Senna, so that counts for a lot. The Enzo was sorted by Schumacher - says it all really.

Japanese Enzo or not, I hope they refrain from stuffing it full of electronic rubbish. We could do with another proper driver's car. :D

Geschrieben

electronic rubbish? quite a bit of the performance advances over the last 20 years come straight from that stuff.

And i was simply pointing out that it's lack of horsepower betrayed the balanced chasis, think what the NSX could have been with, say 360hp? Truly world class.

Geschrieben

I see what Speed is saying. I appreciate a real " mechanical " car too. Electronic rubbish can also be such things as power seats, power windows, power sunroof, self closing trunk, skip-shift, stability control, GPS, you get the idea. Some people just want to be the captain of their own ship.

and some people think varible valve timing, stability control, ABS, and even fuel injection is garbage, so go figure.

Hallo SpEeDiSaDdIcTiVe,

schau doch mal hier zum Thema Zubehör für Andere Automarken (Anzeige)? Eventuell gibt es dort etwas Passendes.

i understand why someone wouldnt like traction controll, or power steering, etc... but variable timing? fuel injection? c'mon now. but you are right, to each his own. i see how it would be more fun to drive a car without traction control, thank god there are switches for those days when you need a little spark in your life :D

i dont think the front flows with the rear, the hatch looks... weird. the front i like though. its the rear that needs some taking care of.

the photographer said the lines and everything looked better in person. he said it looks a bit bigger than the previous nsx but he said that could be just because of the doors. i like it but i think it will take a while for it to grow on me.

Geschrieben

i don't know, the look of it is still quite oragami-like and bizarre.

Geschrieben

I just love it, I don't know why, either. The front seems to kind of resemble a Modena. Anybody else see that? I also see a little bit of an Enzo look to it. I absolutely love the tail lights, too.

Geschrieben

it still has severe angles, and it's rip-off ferrari look doesn't suit it. The original NSX was great because it was a first rate supercar done the japanese car. No one ever complained that NSX was ugly, or even at all. A good windy V8 would have been nice. A good little refresh, with a bit of the new theme would be nice, but that concept seems too far for me. Maybe you are right, it is better in person.

Geschrieben

also it is projected to have well over 300 hp. rumors are that it will be in the 360 range, but i dont know how they are going to do that with an na v6. they have to have some sort of trick up their sleeve...

Geschrieben

honda's new 3.5L/3.8L DOHC V6 has plenty of displacement for honda's magic to work with. They could easily get over 350 from that, and it isn't that heavy. I've always liked NSX, i'm hoping they can get some decent horsepower.

Geschrieben

i think they really needed to get more hp out of the nsx since the 350z was cutting it real close. their remedy was plainly 100more whp. i am very anxious to see how it will perform.

Geschrieben

hey bleh, one thing just hit me, your sig line says "it doesn't matter if my car is slow .... I know what i'm talking about." If you know what you are talking about, why is your car still slow? :D

And the 350Z was not even in league handling wise with NSX, and is well heavier (NSX is all aluminum), i do see the point, but supposedly the new NSX will fix this with a much needed boost in tech and displacement to get the extra ponies needed to keep up.

I actually really like the stylin, especially the back end. I don't see much wrong with it except maybe its a lil 2 flat.

The edges on it seem a tad sharp maybe need 2 be rounded off jus a tad.

But maybe it does look alot better in real life but not like we're gonna get 2 see it netime soon.

I also hope 2 see the hp be from 330-360 and the torque be not 2 far behind since

honda is known 2 be lackin majorly on torque versus hp.

That would be definite potential to add sum scare and wonder into sum supercars.

I also hope they make it pretty lightweight as well not with alot of shit weighted gizmo's like dvd's

and tv's and all that shit. Jus things to help u out on the track when u need it and then have a button like usual when u don't.

That's my 2 cents.

$, im still about $1000 in the hole. fortunately my parents dont charge rent. i made a few poor investments in the past 4 years.

i think honda wanted to correct the idea paying more than double for just better handling. also the newer nsx's are not that much lighter than the 350z. the difference in weight could be compensated for in driver's obesity(sp?) or a full tank of gas. does this site have a spell checker?
