THE TVR TUSCAN

I think that the TVR Tuscan is an amazing car. I would really love to look into getting one, but I live in North America. There are no dealerships here for them, but I know that people here have them. How do they get it? How does it get serviced? Does anyone know anything about this car? TO KLEINEFISCH: I see that you also live in North America and have a TVR. I would love to hear your opinion on the car. How is it, and how did you get it? I really appreciate any information anyone can give to help.

If you wanted a T.V.R you'd have to get an import - I don't think you could get a L.H.D, but I'm not 100% certain about that. It'd be quite expensive to import. For servicing you'd probably have to find somewhere that specialises in British sports cars.

If you want to know what they are like... they are bloody fast. They'd take a Ferrari to pieces (I've seen a Cerbera take on a Porsche 911, a Viper, an Aston V8 Vantage, a Caterham and a Lotus Esprit - none even came close to the Cerbera). One thing that sets them out from a lot of other sports cars - they have no electronic driving aids (Including no A.B.S). Power steering is about as close as you can get. They are known to be a handful in the wet, and also in the dry too! They are loud and proud. One tip though - if you do manage to get hold of one, don't ever sneeze at the wheel, unless you want to go backwards through a hedgerow.

Yes, they are extremely fast and quite unforgiving when it comes to handling. I got mine through Newtowun motors of Wales. I took delivery there and it is still there in friends garage, so i don't know how to get it to the states. They are a blast to drive, and a real eye catcher. You most certainly can bring it to the states because some one drove one in the Gumball 3000.
