Hey,

for the Quattroporte in two years you can oder the actual Quattroporte with a V12 engine - this engine is from the actual Ferrari model 612 Scaglietti - in Italy the car is driving on the testarea and is running very good.

Then they have to build a good automatic transmission.

Perhaps I do. It is said to be a 4.0 V8 developing roughly 380hp(at 5K rpm).

380 hp. from a 4.0 Diesel is pretty damn impressive - NA? Do you have any torque figures?

Either way, I'll be a little surprised if it's lands in the Quattroporte.

It is twin-turbocharged of course...The only torque figure I have is "750NM" no further info like range etc. though.

4.0 V8 with 380hp and twin-turbo is not Maserati style.

This engine has more Power then the V10 from VW.

The 4.2L that goes into maseratis is suprisingly affordable to build. That lets maserati be more affordable, the very complex type 140 V12 would jack up the price, but I'd love to see it as an option atleasta. The quattroporte is an awesome car.
