those last two, the tail looks very much photoshopped, it's like a porsche tail on a BMW. It's just wierd. The wheels on a whole lot of them like like they have had their wheels photoshopped, but otherwise they look pretty realistic to me.

Geschrieben

its time to master hue and saturation. this may be the most painstaking part since there are so many variables involved. just remember to take care of the brightness and contrast last.

Geschrieben

if they were smart, they'd toss in a bit of gaussian blur or throw the contrast off a bit to make it look like a real digital cam pic, because cleaning an image up as nice as press release photos are is, as GIR said, quite hard to do, and takes a good mastery.

Sorry folks, I didn´t say I´m a professional and those pictures were made in a hurry. The intention was to show what the 645ci would look like with other wheels. Of course they are photoshopped and yes, it could be better but I don´t spend the whole day in front of my Mac

Geschrieben

i hear that. ive spent hours on some pictures of friends cars just because they wanted to see what it would look like with a different paintjob. just so they can decide that they like their color better. not worth it.

Geschrieben

i like the wheels on top.. they look very familiar but i cant put my finger on it. what are they from? better yet, what are they called?

Geschrieben

The ones in the top picture are ac shnitzer rims.Im going to buy them soon.

Geschrieben

they give me a semi.... i think they would look even better with a sick offset in the rear.

Geschrieben

don't listen to the haters -- I see what you were trying to do and I think they look great. The porsche twists look awesome on that car!@

Hallo bodohmen,

schau doch mal hier zum Thema Zubehör für BMW (Anzeige)? Eventuell gibt es dort etwas Passendes.

Interesting concept of the BMW/911 crossbreed. The cars by the dock look like they have a load of bricks in the trunk though. Maybe raise the car a bit?

The ones in the top picture are ac shnitzer rims.

AC Schnitzer Type 3s' to be exact.

they give me a semi...

I think you need to go to the bathroom :D.

Talking about pipes, I remeber somebody here posted a link of an SL tuned by some company (don't remember) and it had six pipes (well, six tips at least). That was nice looking, if a bit excessive.

Geschrieben

six is way too many. Only a few cars pull of 4 pipes well. even corvette C5 looks a bit off with 4 pipes. The M3 and M5 do, M5 really looks clean, and the 4 pipe look grows on you with M3, but like the monte carlo Z34 - should not have had 4 pipes. The E55 doesn't look that great with 4 chrome pipes on it to me atleast. I like the one/two pipes in the middle or two pipes, one on either side best personally.

Geschrieben

The 1948 Tucker Torpedo is before any of our time, but this car could handle six pipes out the back, one for each cylinder of it's helicopter engine I might add.

Although side pipes leave the rear looking rather bare most of the time.

Geschrieben

mercedes SLR has those funky side pipes.

The helicopter was invented in 1949 by Igor Sikorsky.

Geschrieben

The Tucker was equipped with a 9,651 cc Franklin flat-six, it was indeed a chopper motor.

Geschrieben

choppers used radial engines up until the advent of gas turbines. That flat six may have had aviation heritage, just not on a chopper.

Geschrieben

Helicopters were around before 1949. The Bell 47 was around in '45, and that was derived from another one, the Model 30 of 1943. At least one of these was flat-six powered.

Geschrieben

fine, but Igor was given the patent to the helicopter, his first production copter was late 40s, and they all, and nearly all other helicopters of the era (barring type 30 and 47) used radial engines, which were redily available.

But yeah, i guess you're right. sorry.
