yeah, 34 in the greater US, that isn't that many. 850 says he wants to buy an M6 when they come out too, so i think he should cut losses, sell what's left of his 850Ci, get himself something like a 540 from a 3 or 4 years back, which has very stable residual value, and drive that around until M6 comes out and he can trade it in.

34 to choose from is pretty many --- some are in the 19K range--- all the way up to 40k,... Trouble getting it into canada? Send me a plane ticket, I'll drive it up there and when i get there you have a beater waiting for me to drive home in -- there ya go -- its in the country.

i would sell the car as salvage to someone because the repair cost will be probably cost more than the cars value

nah its all good, i reduced the price of teh engine for a remanufactured 850motor from 24000 to 17 000 CAD. its all good. im just gonna cruise in that till the m6 comes out. plus yea its even rarer in canada, i bought mine new and it was the last one they had of 2 850ci's they got. its rare in canada, u neevr see one i only see one at the bmw dealer cuz one of the employees has one. but yea id rather keep my 850 now till teh m6.
