And for the record it's not the CL650 but the CL65. There's also going to be a SL65 and rumoured S65.

It is official. Benz is bringing the SL 65 and CL 65 to U.S. next year. 2005 model SL's will all get updates, the fronts will look like SLR, so they might bring the SL 65 here to U.S. as an '05 model to get the updates also. Just wait till they drop the 7-Speed Tiptronic in the SL 65. That car will smoke almost any german car on the road. And it's a beautiful convertible with more luxury features and safety than almost any other luxury car also !!!

I 600hp is a little much, why cant Mb just use the V8 Kompressor and use ALUMINUM as a body? It'd probably handle better

yeah, that would be cool, but then why would you spend 3 times more to get and SLR?

you wouldn't cuz ud realize how stupid the SLR is and that a version of the SL which I said would be ten times cool. Why would any one pay 315000 on a mercedes?
