i heard that the next 3series will be released in 2006 and that it is being tested, obviously its too early for specs but there is an artist impression of the car drawn from the current concept!!!

The M5 will look much the same, minus the narrow wheels (it'll have wider ones; especially the rear wheels). Side-skirts and bumpers and side-mirrors and everything else related to looks will also be modified in accordance with normal "M" standards. As for the performance, it'll have 500HP instead of 400HP (or 394HP). Torque delivery should also be enough to haul boulders. And that’s not even final yet. But you won’t see the next M5 until the next 5-series takes off.

Edit: I forgot to mention this; doesn't the new 3-series look a lot like the new 5 series? Should we be expecting a similar upcoming style for the near-future 7 series, perhaps?

the m5 will have a 5 liter v10 which will have an output of 500 hp. it will get from 0 to 200 in 14 sec.

That sounds good. The M5 deserves that type of performance. Though the looks are still a bit questionable. And that 500HP isn't yet officially confirmed, and it can go up to ~550HP.

To be honest the engine is the same one they might use in the new M6, so it's actually up to 625HP. they probably won't even make it 600 though, because the M6 is supposed to have a 600HP+ (~625HP) engine. They wouldn't bring the M5's power up to the same level as their new M6. I think it'll stay at around 500 to 550.
