3series conv vs. Z4

Any opinions on this comparison ?

In the spirit of classic BMW design, I just think the 3 series convertible,

blows away the Z4 (on looks alone). Maybe it's this Bangle guy, that

I've been hearing about just now.

I believe that the Z4 is way better than the 3 series convertable unless ur looking to fit more poeple because the Z4 i think just outrules the looks or the 3 series convertable by the long shot. If uve seen the Z4 in person, u will seriuosly just ahve your mouth dropping down to teh ground. Theyd both be the same power, but i fdind roadsters to always be more sporty.

The choice is simple - if you want an eyecatching sports car, the Z4 is for you. If you want comfortable cruising, don't want to attract too much attention to yourself and occasionally need to carry more than 2 people, the 3-series convertible is your car.

I might give you "eyecatching", but now we have eyecatching vs.

the timeless classical lines of the 3series conv., and I think I'd still

stick with the classical design as the more pleasing one.

The practicality of the 3series is a given - I can fit 800lbs worth of

people into mine, and they're not even uncomfortable.

No doubt that the compact luxury segment is home to some of the most fun cars bar none. I have a Jaguar X-Type (which is just a bit larger than a 330) and I cannot imagine 800lbs of people in it.

BMW convertibles are a ton of fun, and unquestionably the most classically beautiful, athough if you have seen pictures of the new Saab 9-3 convert. - it has jet fighter inspired styling - and looks pretty nice.

In terms of 330 on Z4, if you are going for sheer performance, Z4 wins hands down, it simply can beat a 330i through every number. On the other hand, in terms of practicality and classical beauty, then the 330Ci takes the cake (the Z4 is an attractive and very nice looking car, but it does take some time to grow on you)

I'd take the 3 series anyday. I saw a Z4 in person last week, pretty sweet looking, but nothing compares to the 3 series.

have you ridden in a Z4?

the handling is completely flat, acceleration is like that of a jetplane.

For everyday driving, the 3 is the ultimate car, but for fun in the sun and at the limits performance, I have to give it to Z4

The Z4 is the most beautiful and suprising roadster i have ever ridden in. Even when i sat in it, i was "im getting this car". Im just waiting in vain for the M roadster! IT sure beats Z3.
