I wouldn't buy the 1 and probably not the 2. 3's and up are where it's at.

The one series will likely never see the US, but I would sooner see a 1 or a 2 than a VW GTI in my garage.

Think about them like a 318i revival.

No the first place that BMW is going to sell the 1 and 2 series is in the US and Canada. People would rather buy it than Volkswagon golf or others. THe target is for less wealthy persons, not for people who can afford higher level BMWs. If i was 18-20 id sure want one of those.

For marketing reasons, it is likely BMW may loose sales of other lines by introducing 1 or 2 to the US or Canada. That easy.

Well i read somewhere that BMW is launching the 1 series in US first. And i think that makes sense.

the only other line that will be killed is the 3 series compact, which im sure the new 3 series willl not have.
