kennst du schon New M6 or 6 series specs? (Anzeige)? Dort ist vieles zu finden.

The question is, if bmw goes along with reports to move away from true manuals to SMGs on there M cars, will that help or hurt them? I must admit, I like to row myself, but in a 3800lb car with 500+ hp, I may be outclassed by the computer on this one. Should they offer a true manual as well as the SMG?

They should definetly have both straight manual and smg because some peaople have preferences. If they want exhiliratiing ride with awesoem gear changes, and hate clutches, and maybe on a highway want to use automatic. Manual would be for people who love to have more feel to the car with both feet and hand, and to follow a pattern in switching gears. But i thinkk automatic is useless, he smg already can have full automatic!

Well, as a tall person, the long throw of the clutch on an M5 has always been uncomfortable. The shifter is not the freindliest, so in M5, I won't miss the shifter itself (plus, the auto function is nice in traffic). Ditto with a ferrari (why they keep the gated shifter, no one knows). The 6 speed in Z4 is pretty slick though. Overall, I wish european shifter were more japanese, shorter throw clutches, smooth, easy gear shifters, you know - the whole deal. C'mon, do you know anyone who can drive an M5 around town at a normal rate of speed and acceleration without looking like a fool (the car simply doesn't do "slow"). I personally feel in a less powerful car, the real shifter is a must, but with this much go power, it is just so much easier to use a SMG.

perhaps that is why audi and mercedes used manuals (as they don't have an SMG)

Actaully it will look a lot like the 7 series, but the back i think more like between 7 and 5. Its looks super cool, especially the pic on this website...

It's going to go under another minor modification before they're done with it. And the rear lights are the same as the 7 series minus the out-of-place double rectangle center rear lights. I don't think they should do this rear-light styling scheme with every single new Beemer though.

These Pictures look a lot of whta i think the new 6 is gonna look like. The only thign there missing there is the light in teh middle of the boot, which will not be as out of place as teh 7, and as well teh boot wont be soo curved, but it wil still be curved

Anywayz the 6 looks great, except the back, couldn't they make it a little less fat? It looks like Jeniffer Lopez, nice face, good looking body, big fat rear.
