ich hatte mal eine begenung mit einem normalen gt und der hörte sich schon total genial aus. aber dieser sprengt alles.

Ich muss mich verbessern... der gezeigte Wagen ist zwar ein einmaliges Fahrzeug von Ford, aber wer die Amis kennt weiß, dass die vor nahezu nichts zurückschrecken. Es gibt wohl mindestens eine Firma in den USA, die den Ford GT zum GTX1 umbaut, wenn man entsprechendes Kleingeld mitbringt.

Hmm, also wenn Du den im Videoclip gezeigten GTX1 meinst, dann muß ich Dich leider entäuschen: Der ist nicht von Ford selbst, sondern von der Firma "Genaddi Design Group".

Kip Ewing hatte die Idee von einem offenen Ford GT und fand dann Gehör bei Mark Gerisch von der Genaddi Design Group, nachdem Skizzen und ein Tonmodell Herrn Hau Thai Tang (Direktor von Ford SVT) vorgelegt worden waren und Zuspruch fanden.

Die Genaddi Design Group beschäftigt sich eigentlich eher mit herkömmlichen Stretchlimo-, eleganten Coupe- und Cabrio-Umbauten auf Basis von zum Beispiel RR-Phantom und Maybach. Aber auch als Coachbuilder von Alukarossen aufwendiger GTO- und anderen seltenen Ferrarinachbauten hat sich ein Teil dieser Unternehmensgruppe einen Namen in der Szene machen können.

Der GTX1 sollte für die SEMA (Specialty-Equipment-Marketing-Association) in Las Vegas gebaut werden. Dafür wurde ein roter Ford GT geopfert. Die Firma Ford selbst war nur in sofern daran beteiligt, als dass sie BodyParts für einige "Schnittversuche" im Zuge der Enthauptung des originalen GTs kostenlos geliefert und einen roten Ford GT für "einen" Dollar geliefert hatten.

Bis heute wurden mehr als 7 GTX1 gebaut (1x der gelbe Prototyp plus 6x Kundenfahrzeuge: Zwei rote GTX1, ein schwarzer, ein silberner, ein gelber und ein weisser).

Der GTX1 ist übrigens als ein eigenständiges Fahrzeug beim N.A.D.A Guide (the classic, collectible, and special interest car apparaisal guide) gelistet und bei jedem GT-Treffen gerne gesehen.

Neuestes Projekt ist - neben einem aufwendigen Umbau einer Corvette Z06 ("LSR-Roadster") - der Ford GTB. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen Ford GT mit schräg nach oben öffnenden Türen wie sie der Ferrari Enzo, McLaren F1 und der Saleen S7 hat. Das ist keine reine Show, sondern dient zum wesentlich besseren Einsteigen in den originalen Ford GT in z.B. engen Parklücken, da ja ein Teil des Daches mit nach oben schwenkt.

...ich habe es allerdings auch erst vor etwa 3 Wochen gelernt, als ich mich ausführlich über den GTX1 informieren wollte.

Natürlich ist die Karre nicht schlecht.

Aber das geilste an diesem Auto sind die Felgen die finde ich wirklich geil!
