Meet Luciano Rupolo, a retired Italian mechanic with a passion for racing, historic cars, and his dog Cooper. With time and patience, he put together a small collection of incredible cars, not only because of the models themselves, but also for their amazing journeys to their present state. Examples include the Giannini 750 MarDal, which used to belong to Umberto Marzotto and Nicolò Dal Moro, two outstanding VIPs of the booming Italy of the sixties; the Iso Grifo A3C, involved in a car crash during a race in Sebring in ’59, disappeared and found again in the early 90s in the Canary Islands; finally, the most amazing story of all: the revitalizing of a wrecked car, the remains of which, lost in a mechanic’s yard, turned out to be the oldest existing Porsche. In this documentary, the story of his life is unveiled with anecdotes about his peculiar car collection and the restoration processes, while showing his photographic archive and driving skills.
