In order for you guys to get a better idea of how fast the SLR will be ... just try this:

Look up all the best performance statistics on the current SL 55:

Now visualize a car that is even much stiffer structurally, and weighs hundreds and hundreds of pounds less, has a faster transmission, better tires and chassis, better brakes, and has about 120 or 130 more horsepower !!! Now imagine THAT car flying down the street as fast as possible .....

it does two-oh-five

it has 205 top end, as has the same FIVE speed auto as the current SL55.

it does perform well, i just think it'll have troulbe outdoing the likes of porsche GT and Enz.

Wait till Merc comes out with their 7-speed auto, and Im sure AMG will havetheir go at the SLR at least in a limited production.
