has anyone driven the veyron? I can't find anyone who has, and even car magazines dont seem to know much about this beast. To my understanding there is only 1 in existence so that may be why, but if anyone knows anything about it please post here.

Oh, has anyone driven the older bugattis too? I seen them alot, but I've never really talked to a driver.

I have seen a Bugatti EB110. Nowdays its called Dauer EB110 because Dauer bought the rights for all cars. They service them and also rebuild them i heard something about 150kg less weight with some carbonfibre help.

I would like to know if anyone knows what's the 0-100 acceleration of the bugatti 16/4 veyron? And does anyone knows the full specifications of the bugatti? I think it's gonna be the best car ever!!!!

Geschrieben

well they havent released its 0-100 time... only its 0-182mph time, and that was 14.2 seconds. Thats much faster than any other street legal car i know of. Right now, Im trying to figure out the weight of the car. I want to get down and figure out its quarter mile time with some good ol fashion math

Should be around 9s traps. If you check with other 1000hp AWD car with same weight and makes 0-300km/h about the same.

i dont know if you are talking about km/h or mp/h but 0-60 mp/h is almost the same as 0-100 km/h.

but here it is!

0-60 Mp/h or 0-100Km/h this is estimated but with this kind of power i thnk its faster but anyway bugatti says its 3.2 seconds!

0-182 Mp/h or 300 Km/h in 14 seconds or less or just under!

FAST!!!!!

bugatti's usually use 1 or 3 torsen differentails. they were the first to use 3 in one car.

it is unbeleivable what the effect they have on a car.

AUDI uses a torsen in the center called "quattro" and same with VW its called "4motion"

i am 95% sure that the veyron and other new bugattis use 3 torsens

the torsen has the highest torque baissing ratio of all diffs

so the AWD (4WD) on bugattis are amazing all 4 wheels have traction at all times

i know my stuff my grandfather invented it!!

GOOD STUFF!!!!!!!!!!! TORSEN DIFFERENTAIL

It is 987 SAe horsepower @ 5,500rpms

922ft.lb torque 2,200-5,500rpms

Curb weight target of 3,550lbs

Engine Layout : W16 - 8.0L (think of two of the VW Passat W8 engines fused together end to end)

4 turbochargers

4 intercooolers (air-water)

Comp. Ratio: 9.51:1

7 Spd. F1 style transmission (very close ratios)

0-60mph : 3.2 seconds

0-100mph: 6.6 seconds

0-180mph 14.2 seconds

Theoretical top speed is 260+ mph

Uses tripple torsen diffs (similar technology used in Lambo Merci.)

Rides on same chasis as Lambo Merci.

4 balance shafts utilized (imagine how that engine must shake otherwise)

Anyone heard on the redline - I was asuming it wouldn't be much higher than that of the W8 4.0, but i haven't gotten any firm info on it.

that all looks like good information. thanks.

are you sure that the bore/stroke is 86X86, volkswagen characteristically uses a longer stroke? - and also - a note, the 1001hp figure is on the european scale, the hp figure is 987 on the SAe scale @ 5,500rpms. Word is the redline will be 6,300, though 6,500 is no stretch. HP to litre is just over 124hp/l (pretty similar to that of the Audi TTi).

Anyone have a semi-hard number on weight (i would think it is pretty substantial looking at the performance number (3,700lbs. wouldn't suprise me, though it could definately be less) - anyone know?
