No word on fuel economy huh? In the age of hybrids, where do they get off on that?

Today we're driving the hybrid green car honey, tomorrow, the 9,500 rpm V8 gas guzzler with the shaker hoodscoop! Sorry, but I can't help but make note of the hypocrisy.

Well, variety yeah. But think of where they could be if they really cared this much for hybrid. The age of alternative power will have truely arrived once it manages to shake it's grocery getter image.

Honda offers more hybrid models than anyone right now, (3 - whoo hoo!) but they're all economy type cars. What that V8 coupe really needs is not a shaker hood but a hybrid badge. I'll bet that engine has major battery charging capability.

Looks like the current model Mustang (not the retrofit ones) that has just been smoothed over with import curves.
i dont see the resemblance at all... maybe the fact that they both have v8s?? i duno i think it looks a lot like an acura RL...

lnc: i thought they were going to offer the v6 accord as a hybrid? punchy, civil, comfy, and environmentally friendly

Aside from the similar style of the two photos, they seem to share somewhat similar design elements - flared wheel arches, hoodscoop, blackened and mildly swept headlamps, rectangular grill opening, hood creases. A traditional frontal layout.

Otherwise, the two cars look nothing a like.

Thank you, that's what I'm talking about. I was just saying they looked similar but the Honda has the smooth flowing and beautiful lines of an import rather than the abrupt in your face lines of a domestic.

alright i kinda see your point. but definitely only the front. hood, headlights, etc.

also i dont think i like the m3 fender vents... its just not a honda thing....

LOL, the fender vents have more "rice appeal." I saw them on a Prelude and they looked haawwwt. But seriously, is that ever coming over? I doubt it. It still would be awesome if it came to a U.S. auto show.

Those vents do look pretty out of place, like little stick-on decals really. And the huge "V8" badge on the fender and "Mugen" emblem on the C-pillar are very ricey. They seem experimental.

yea the concept pics dont look too great. but the real life photos are decent. the fender vent probably adds a slight bit of drage at no functional value... retarded. but other than that :-))! jared likey

the back looks like a tiburon, the front like a solara... but i really dont care!!

its funny, all the domestic guys bash on this car because it has "no" torque. no torque compared to what? looks like it has torque to me. maybe not as much as the hp, but who cares? ferraris dont have as much torque as horspower, and they do very well.

i too am glad that a japanese car manufacturer built a v8, now lets see where they go with it.

The Japanese utilizing a V8 is considered a new thing? I remember the Lexus SC400 was a nice little V8 ride back in 1994.

You mean it's a new thing in terms of sport compacts?

i meant a competative v8. i know that lexus has v8's, but you dont see people modding them like they mod mustangs, ls1's, ls6's etc.etc.etc. lets see if the japan v8 craze takes off. i can see it now, big block hondas...
