Impressive numbers, although the car is still too heavy. MB needs to push the weight of it's engines and frames down. Yet with a body that heavy it can still pull off a 0-100 in 3.8 secs. The torque and power figures speak for themselves, you have the complete 3000 to 5000 rpm range for fun.

This car weighs as much as a CLK55 AMG. This is an astonishing achievement... :o

it is a big car though, the front end is needlessly long. i must say, i'm dissapointed that that is the best MB and McLaren could do. it's a great car, but it should be a lot more.

i wouldn't say that's the best they can do...price was a limitation too...i'm quite sure they are talented enough to built enzo beater :)

To be honest I's rather buy an SL then an SLR. The styling of the SLR doesn't appeal to me much and I'm sure the SL65 can match the SLR's performance.

SLR is much smaller and lighter, so it will probably be sportier feeling, but yeah, an SL65 would be every bit as powerful for less money, i suppose the gawk value is higher for SLR, if you're into that.
