Who isn't?

Umm, top 5 what? Top 5 cars on your personal list of fav.s?

Of course, a top 5 list is always a personal preference. Otherwise, you'd have to specify in what you compare the cars. I always say, the highest class car I would ever buy is BMW M, never a Ferrari, never a Lambo, and so on. For one thing, you need something to dream about, for the other thing, an M version BMW is still an everyday car.

Yeah you got that right. They're the perfect marriages of dream and reality. I'd get an M3 or M5 or M6 or M4 or M7 or M8 or M2 or M1 or M9 or M0 or MX (or whatever other M they made) in a heart-beat. But I still don't think I could realistically make a top-5 list!

1.Bugatti Royale (no doubt the most technical car ever)

2.AC Cobra 427 (the one and only roadster)

3.Ford Mustang Fastback Cammer 5.0 (a true classic with a new Cammer)

4.1987 Porsche 959 (Porsche's street performance icon)

5.VW Beetle (old one from 1936 to 2002 - 20+ millions cars made)

No doubt the Royale is the best car of all times made from 1927-1933 which had a straight 8 12,7 liter engine with an OVERHEADED CAM and 3 VALVES/CYLINDER even at that time cranking out 1000 NM of torque and taking the 3-4 ton model to a speed tested 200km/h with a theoretical speed of about 220 km/h.And all that in 1927 on a 6 meter car that si far far more luxurious than a Rolls or Duesenberg.Just imagine.

I would have to dispute the Bugatti taking a position of superior granduer over the Duesenburg. The " Duesies" were among the fastest, most powerful, and most luxurious cars of their time as well. And they too had DOHC straight-8 engines of 6.9 liters, with 4 valves per cylinder, and supercharging to boot!

Bugatti is like the European equivelent to America's Duesenburg. In their time, they were considered " the ultimate ". They are among the few cars these days that can fetch prices well into the millions.

Ford GT totally destroys its competitors :

Test Data >> Ford GT - Ferrari CS - Porsche GT3

Lap time >> 1:32.13 - 1:34.19 - 1:34.15

(Gingerman Raceway 1.9 mile road course)

0 - 60 >> 3.3 - 4.0 - 4.0

0 - 100 >> 7.6 - 9.5 - 9.3

0 - 150 >> 16.9 - 23.9 - 23.9

1/4 mile >> 11.6@128 - 12.4@115 - 12.3@114

5 - 60 >> 3.7 - 4.4 - 4.7

Max Lat (g) >> 0.98 - 0.98 - 1.03

Braking 70 - 0 (ft) >> 153 - 167 - 167

Lane Change (MPH) >> 70.1 - 67.2 - 67.6

The Royale was a beast of it's own though. It was made to be the biggest and best car ever made. I heard that the crankshaft alone was 330 lbs. When the car was no longer in production, the extra engines were used for trains. The car was just totally over the top.

The Bugatti Royale was definitely nuts. The entire engine weighed 840lbs. the car itself was 21 ft. long and rode on 38 in. wheels. And the people rolling 24s' today think they're the big dogs. In pictures they don't look that big though.

Hallo m_andere,

schau doch mal hier zum Thema Sportwagen Kaufberatung (Anzeige)? Eventuell gibt es dort etwas Passendes.

Der V16 Motor zum Selberbauen (Anzeige) ist auch genial.
