Alarmanlage Dodge Viper RT/10

Hi

Mein Onkel besitzt ne 2002 Viper RT10... also schon ein neueres US Modell mit Chromewheels und GTS Haube, el. Fenster etc.

Immer wenn er Nachts nach Hause kommt und das Fahrzeug mit der Wegfahrsperre schliessen will, hupt es so beschissen... wie einmal hupen!

Die Nachbarn werden immer gleich

Meine Frage... Kann man evtl. ohne grossen Aufwand (z.B. über die Fernbedienung - Einstellung) dass es nicht mehr hupt sondern nur noch sone art KLICK KLICK macht... so wie in den filmen halt... ein leises klickklick. Das Hupen geht mit der Zeit auf den Sack!

Ist es denn die originale Alarmanlage oder ein Nachrüstgerät?

Bei den Nachrüstanlagen kann man es nahezu 100%ig abstellen. Es ist auch in Deutschland nicht zugelassen, dass eine Alarmanlage beim Verschließen hupt.

Also ich glaube meine Nachbarn "beschweren" sich weniger über das kurze Gehupe beim Zusperren (da wissen sie, jetzt ist Ruh!) als vielmehr über das Donnergrollen, wenn ich in die Garage rückwärts einparke ...

VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY

DESCRIPTION

The Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) is

designed to protect against whole vehicle theft. The

system monitors vehicle doors, hood, trunk and ignition

action for unauthorized operation. The alarm

activates:

² An engine kill feature

² Flashing of the fog lamps

² Flashing of the park and tail lamps

² Sounding of the horn

The VTSS is a standard feature on this vehicle. It

is designed to provide passive protection against

unauthorized vehicle use by disabling the engine

after two seconds of running, whenever an improper

entry is used to enter the vehicle.

The primary components of this system are:

² Body Control Module (BCM)

² Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

² Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)

² Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) light

located in the rear view mirror

OPERATION

When the Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) is

armed, there is no communication to the PCM, the

PCM will shut off fuel after two seconds of run time.

The engine will not recrank on the key cycle that the

failure occurred, a full key down sequence must be

performed for the engine to crank again.

After one consecutive fuel shut off, the engine will

no longer crank on subsequent key cycles. The failure

must be corrected and a valid communication process

between the BCM and the PCM must occur for the

engine to crank and start again. The electronics for

the VTSS are part of the BCM. the system is armed

when the vehicle is locked using these methods:

² Power door lock switches (with any door ajar)

² Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Lock Button

² RKE transmitter

After the vehicle is locked and the last door is

closed, the VTSS lamp in the review mirror will flash

quickly for 16 seconds, indicating that arming is in

progress. If the trunk/hood is open or a fault is

detected: ignition switch, door entry switches or key

cylinder switch, then the VTSS lamp will remain

solid during the arming process and the system will

still arm. If no door is opened or the ignition does not

change to run during this period, the system will

arm. When the system is armed, the VTSS lamp will

flash at a slower rate. If the VTSS lamp does not

illuminate at all upon the last door closing, it indicates

that the system is not arming.

The system is disarmed when the vehicle is

unlocked using these methods:

² RKE Unlock Button

² Door cylinder Unlock switch

NOTE: The VTSS will not disarm with the key in the

ignition (No SKIM).

Disarming will halt the alarm if it is activated. A

tamper alert exist to notify the driver that the VTSS

had been activated. This alert consist of the VTSS

lamp flashing two times quickly until the vehicle is

disarmed. When the vehicle is disarmed, the horn

will pulse 3 times.

NOTE: The VTSS will not disarm by opening the

vehicle from the inside door handle.

If the VTSS is triggered, the horn will pulse, fog

lamps/park lamps will flash and the VTSS warning

lamp will flash (alarming) for three minutes. If a

trigger is still active after three minutes, then the

alarm will continue for an additional 15 minutes

without the horn.

The VTSS monitoring portion of the system is split

into three sections:

² Engine

² Passenger compartment

² Trunk compartment

If a malfunction occurs in the engine or trunk compartment

section, the passenger compartment section

would still arm and function normally.

DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - VEHICLE THEFT

SECURITY

Any diagnosis of the Vehicle Theft Security

System (VTSS) should begin with the use of the

DRB IIIt diagnostic tool. For information on

the use of the DRB IIIt, refer to the appropriate

Diagnostic Service Manual.

Refer to the appropriate wiring information. The

wiring information includes wiring diagrams, proper

wire and connector repair procedures, details of wire

harness routing and retention, connector pin-out

information and location views for the various wire

harness connectors, splices and grounds.

HOOD AJAR SWITCH

REMOVAL

(1) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative

cable.

(2) Using a flat blade tool, pry switch from the

bracket on the left fender well.

(3) Disconnect the wire harness connector from the

switch.

INSTALLATION

(1) Connect the wire harness connector to the

switch.

(2) Press the switch into position on the bracket.

(3) Connect the battery negative cable.

VTSS DISARM SWITCH

DESCRIPTION

In case of Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) failure, the

Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) Disarm Switch

can be used to disarm the VTSS. The VTSS disarm

switch is a key cylinder mounted, momentary contact

switch. This key cylinder is keyed the same as the

ignition key. This switch can only be used to disarm

the VTSS, not to arm the system. When the RKE or

the electric door lock switch is locked, the system will

then rearm itself.

The VTSS Disarm Switch is located on the drivers

door below the outside mirror. The VTSS Disarm

Switch is hardwired into the wire harness and is not

serviced separately.

OPERATION

To disarm the system using the VTSS disarm

switch, insert the key and turn to disarm the system.

VTSS INDICATOR

DESCRIPTION

The Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) uses a

VTA lamp to convey information on the status of the

system to the operator. The lamp is located in the

rear view mirror is not serviced separately.

OPERATION

For operation of the Vehicle Theft Security System

(VTSS) Indicator, (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/VEHICLE

THEFT SECURITY - OPERATION).

Ich habe das selbe Problem, bzw. auch das Problem in Kombination mit dem Problem von ViperGTS. Alleine wenn ich nach Hause komme und rückwärts in die Garage setze stehen meine Nachbarn schon aufrecht im Bett. Das Gehupe beim Schließen ist dann für die Nachbarn nur noch ein Zeichen dafür, dass das Getöse nun vorbei ist und sie sich wieder schlafen legen können.

Also ich kann "ViperGTS" nur beipflichten. Meine Nachbarn sind auch eher an meinen 97 db meiner RT/10 entzückt als an das verhätnismässige leise Hupensignal.

Es müsste ein Steuerkontakt vom Steuergerät der AA an das Hupenrelais gehen wenn du dieses unterbrichst dürften deine Nachbarn zumindest die Hupe nicht mehr hören
