Many dedicated Ferrari fans have been less than satisfied with the designs rolling out of Maranello. (Taking the 612 Scaglietti as an example, we couldn't blame them, especially when compared to the sumptuous GTs of the past.) Some complain from the sidelines, while others refuse: One customer had design house Pininfarina re-body an Enzo to emulate the classic 330 P4. Another had Zagato rebody a 575 M Maranello on the inspiration of the unique 250 GTZ. Now a small Dutch design firm is announcing plans to build the Vandenbrink GTO.

While little information is available at this point, any Ferrari fan would recognize the sumptuous lines as a modern interpretation of the iconic early-sixties Ferrari 250 GTO. The designer is currently evaluating both the 575M and the new 599 GTB as possible chassis donors. Vandenbrink says they have received enough interest from potential customers to put the GTO into limited production, either as a one-off custom for one lucky customer, or potentially as a very limited edition of five.





No timeframe has been set at this point, as Vandenbrink tells us, "It's never good to rush any design, especially not an exclusive one-off like this." We couldn't agree more, though we're looking forward to providing updates as this exciting project takes shape. Even at this early stage, one thing is already clear: The days of custom coachbuilt Ferraris are coming back, and coming back strong. Stay tuned.

In the summer of 2006 Michiel van den Brink and Robert Koumans started the Vandenbrink Design company, located in the Netherlands.
The talented industrial designer Michiel van den Brink (2 is specialised in automotive design, with a unique modern interpretation of the DNA of classic automotive icons like Ferrari. Robert Koumans (44) is entrepreneur with a background in automotive and aerospace engineering, marketing and new media. Together they form a solid basis for establishing Vandenbrink Design as a high-end automotive and industrial design house.
The initial focus is on the realisation of the special sportscar designs which have been very well received by potential customers, especially the Vandenbrink GTO which was conceived as the 'Ferrari 599 GTO Mugello' concept study. Actual coachbuilding will be performed in cooperation with well-known Ferrari specialist and coachbuilder Hietbrink in the Netherlands.
Vandenbrink Design also offers her design talent and services to established and emerging car manufacturers and industrial product manufacturers.
The Vandenbrink Design company kicks off ambitious but with realism. However, the international interest in the GTO by sportscar enthusiasts and collectors exceeding expectations gives us hope that the GTO may be actually built. This would result in a dreamstart for the newborn Dutch automotive company Vandenbrink Design.

Also einige Designentwürfe finde ich sehr gut.....Dino....Mondial....

Ich bin begeistert! Die scheinen ja echt etwas drauf zu haben. Gefallen mir auch größtenteils, bis auf die "Kombis"

Sensationelle Designs!

Unglaublich, was da alles "in" einer 599er Form stecken kann. Echt beeindruckend. Hoffentlich werden einige auch wirklich gebaut.

Der schwarze "Kombi"! Letzter Wagen. Hat etwas, und ist eine interessante Formensprache, ein Nachfolger des 1962 Ferrari 250 GT Breadvan?
Wäre schön wenn es mehrere Ansichten gäbe!

Finde die meisten Entwürfe ganz gut, und moderner als die derzeitigen Modelle die doch etwas sehr konservativ sind, zumindest nach meinem Geschmack!

das was mich interessiert: Dürfen diese Wagen auch das Ferrari-Zeichen tragen? Ferrari soll ja damit sehr eigen sein, denn der p4/5 gefiel Ferrari so gut, das er das Zeichen tragen durfte...

Bei der damaligen StylingGarage bekam man bei einem extrem umgebauten Mercedes auch den Mercedes-Stern dazu, allerdings lag er aus rechtlichen Gründen im Handschuhfach und wurde später dann vom Besitzer selbst montiert.

Auch die Extremumbauten von Koenig Special wurden ohne Ferrari-Emblem sondern mit der "KS"-Plakette ausgeliefert. Mir ist heute aber keiner bekannt der noch diese Plakette tragen würde. Alle haben wieder das Ferrari-Emblem drauf.

Ist also wurscht mit was der Wagen ausgeliefert wird.

Ich gehe aber recht in der annahme, dass es sich hier nur um geshopte entwürfe handelt, und es keine protoypen gibt oder?

Wie nah ist Vandenbrink denn an Ferrari dran?
Sprich ist es überhaupt möglich dass diese entwürfe in zukünftige modelle einfliessen?

Nicht, dass du uns noch zum Ferrarifahrer wirst! Oder hast du gar schon einen?
Grade der 599 Cabrio würde dir aber ungemein stehen ;-)
