Default I love it, I am on # 3

What do I think about the GTI VR6?

Well I first came to the US, I bought a 174HP 1998 5 speed and loved it.
Then in 2000, I got another 174HP 2000 Model which had a couple more things. This time I made a couple of changes to it (K&N air intake and spoilers).
Last year I waited and finaly got a 2002 200HP 6 speed. What a difference. It is much less confortable but so much more efficient on the road. Although because of the 17 inch wheels, I felt it needed a little more.
I just put in an AMC cold air intake. It was hard to get it in...
I love it. It is now really agressive. I pull about 227 HP which is not quite enough. I have heard about Turbos for it and am currently looking into them.
Still in it's current state, I can take a subaru WRX, a Lexus, a TT 225, a 330i and so on so it is not bad.

I personally like the new GTI VR6'es better. Of course that's because I like the new Golfs better overall. I'm looking for pictures of dark metallic green or dark metallic blue GTIs.

i hate that remote linking error garbage. I may open my server to free image hosting.

anyhow, yeah a VR6 GTI seems to be a great car. Especially in the R32 form with 3.2L and 240hp as well as AWD. Then again, you are paying nearly 30k for a small hatchback.

Sorry dude I forgot it was the ever-craptacular "freeservers". I'll post some fresh ones from a not-so-cheap source.

Default Nice car!!

i think the best one was the Gti VR6 1994-1999 A3, the motor sound was great specially if you had a high flow filter. The new one V6 2.8 204HP also is a cery good car, but i think that this one is less sportier, because its heavier. If you have a a 204 Hp V6 gti you should consider the z-engineering blower.

Default new vr6

I like the 24 valver better than the 12, makes sense, more power, better milage. What kills me is that the 6 speed is only available on the vr, not the 1.8t. The pushing of the vr6 GTI just kills all of the fun, I need a lighter motor over the front wheels.

actually they have the anniversary edition which is a 6 speed 1.8t. that thing seems like such a cool little car.
