Default Has the new golf lost it already?

I have just seen one of the new golfs.I think it has lost that hot hatch look and has gained a "Family car" look.I saw in a magazine that some company in japan has all ready has modified the golf so someone isnt happy with it.I first thought it looked good but now i think it look like a car you would buy to comprimse witn your wife and kids.Saying that the GTI looks amazing but i think all others look a bit knaf.

VW's branch (VW,Skoda,Bugatti,Bentley) is basically conservative(they claime it themselves) whereas Audi's branch (Audi,Seat,Lambo) is sporty-so the elements of aggressiveness are dedicated for them.

Default lost?

i dont think golf has lost its sprtiness. It depend on the model you looked. Ausdi and VW has the same range of sportiness, just compar the S3 with the R32. Audi produces more sports car because is the premium brand of the group, so their market is bigger.

i agree its the kind of car that a happy pain in the backside family would have singing to some sing along song the golf in my opinion lost its sportiness after the mk 2 which was gods gift as acar

The New Golf is a great drive, and i personally am a fan of the looks - but its been made too "family friendly" and the "Seat Leon" (same platform etc) now looks like a mini-people carrier. Very disappointing in my opinion as i liked the Leon.
