They said that Porshce should build this, use a 300 hp turbocharged flat-4 from Subaru and price it under $30K.

I don't know about you guys, but if they came up with something like this, I'd buy it. I'm sure Porsche could make their own turbo 4, though.

What do you guys think?

Porsche's r known for their flat-6's and they should stay that way.
They don't need to goto a flat-4, or ne 4 cylinder for that matter, period..

It should be pointed out that the Porsche 356 was a flat-4. I believe that they should use their own engine, but I think the idea of a budget priced Porsche, with serious sports potential is a great idea. Because the Boxster may have started out as the " entry level " Porsche, but with prices in the $50,000 range and up, it's still not worth entering into.

A 30k back to basics, flat-4 Porsche is a great idea! The real challenge for them would be to keep themselves from stacking it with too many expensive features. Just keep it simple and bare bones. I like that design drawing too, especially the chrome bumper.

i would say this porsche isn't the most exciting one,this honor belongs to a Dino,in my opinion.
