I like Group C Cars !!!
Michael Gué of Essex Racing relates some of the history of the GrpC Nismo cars...

The From A car started life as one of the factory cars in 1990, the following year Nismo released the car to Nova Engineeering to run in the All Japanese Prototype series. The car acheived moderate success in the hands of Volker Weidler and Akihiko Nakaya. Nova retained the car for the 92 season and with Nismo's help made various changes to the aerodynamics. They replaced Nakaya with Mauro Martini and ran the Japanese series again and also came to Daytona, finishing 8th with Jeff Krosnoff as the third driver.

In 1993 the car did one race - Suzuka 1000km with Martini and HH Frentzen. My company- Essex Racing- bought the car from Nova last year, and subsequently sold the car to Charlie Agg. It has been totally rebuilt and Charlie decided that it would be fun to run the HSR series here in the US.

Nismo has been very supportive of our efforts and have in fact allowed us to purchase another factory car, this car is the Mark Blundell car, which still holds the outright qualifying at LeMans. The cars are prepared at our workshop in Atlanta, and hopefully we will be running both cars at the Laguna and Petit LeMans ALMS support races.

With regards to horsepower we have approximately 840hp in endurance trim and up to 1200hp in quailfying spec. In endurance trim the engine has a life of around 6000 miles. Finally at the Glen GrandAm race we did get a visit from James Weaver, he sat in the car and simply said "A proper sportscar - no restrictors, no rev limiters" Who knows maybe we should invite James to drive it!
