The above link will take you to the page with more info and lots of good pics of interior and exterior ... the interior is arguably the most high-tech of any car so far .... and much more elegant and fancy than before .. even the key fob is chromed out ... Night Vision will be there also with a display showing in front of the driver on the windshield ... all-new upgraded fully-massaging seats .... Dual DVD Screens with internet access and other cool stuff for the rear passengers ... rear seat massage, heating/cooling/refrigerator ... etc.. etc.. most likely

This link talks a little about the upcoming new engines ... all with the new 7-Speed transmission.

The S600 V-12 gets slightly more power, going up from 493 to 517 ..... the S65 will go from 604 to atleast 630 or possibly more HP ... the S 550 will have maybe around 388 Horsepower to compete with the 750Li, and it will be finally a good decent 32-Valve DOHC V-8 with variable everything finally. The bottom models will be the S 450 with like around 300 or so horsepower 32-Valve V-8 .. and an S-350 with a 272 horsepower 24 Valve DOHC V-6 ... and the S-400 Diesel with tons of torque ....
Supposedly this all-new S-class will come to the U.S. at the beginning of 2006 .... we'll see ... the all-new CL will come out atleast 6 months after that ....

Cute, "i-Drive" for the front and rear passengers.

That burgundy color is luscious, but other than that, if Mercedes is seeking to trump BMW as the maker of the worlds most unattractive top of the line model, they're doing a fairly good job. Looks Asian as hell too.

That's a lot of content and detail for a car under 150k. Something tells me the buyers down low are paying for it.

the clock is a nice touch, and i like the gauge cluster too, just not in a benz....

Still good to see that old Mercedes Bashing still goin on in here !! :-)

Atleast we all can agree that it is going to be the new standard for the luxury car world again ..... and when we finally start seeing these on the road in person they'll probably grow on you guys and it'll look much better .....

The S-550 should be a great value for the money ....

The front lights are ugly,The rear lights are ugly,the flares on the fenders are horrible,And i cand beleve they stole the 7 series intirior but did a bad job of it.

Oh and i just noticed they even stole bmws column shifter.

maybe. i have a feeling itll grow on the rest of the population first though, then they will think: 'damn those asians where ahead of their time'. i dont know.

i dont know if it will ever grow on me. some things have and some havent. i still think celica taillights are ghey, i still think the post y2k 5 and 7 series bimmers are gross. i still think audis b6 body style is dumb, but the b7 is a very welcomed improvement. i still think h2s are disgusting. hopefully benz will do a quick facelift after a year or two of criticism.

oddly enough, mazdas syling has really grown on me. i used to think a miata was a fags car, but now i really like it. likewise with the 3, and 6. i also used to think the mini was cheezey when it first came out, but that changed. for a good 6 months i thought the enzo had the ugliest butt ive ever seen, i guess my feelings about that have just turned neutral.

Remember that BMW has been bashed for their designs much more and harder then MB.

I don't know what to think of the exteriour, need to see in with my own eyes before I decide. Currently I'm in the middle. And what's up with those wheel arrches?!

The Interiour is just straight of stolen from BMW, nothing wrong with that but I was expecting more from MB. Get rid of the clock in the center console!

On the technology front MB has again proven it's self. A good chunk of inovations and nice torquey engines should make this car a pleasure to ride.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens. BMW did an early redesign of their 7 series under pressure fron their customers maybe MB will have to walk the same path.

I was never a fan of an AMG S-Class, they should stop producing those alltogether!
