clk new shape?

hi i have just ordered a mercedes benz clk 240.
i have ordered it in the new shape in silver can anyone tell me any info about it?
i have heard what Mercedes says but i need 2 how much people like them.

I think it is a very very attractive car. The lack of a B-pillar gives it a very attractive shape as well. I think it is underpowered with the meek 2.6L V6 though.

i think they r nice and i dont think a 2.6 v6 is 2 bad. do you have any idea why they called it a 240 wen it has a 2.6?

not a clue why they call it that. C260 sounds better too. Then again the bmw 323i was a 2.5L for a while, 540i was a 4.4, 750 was a 5.4, 318 was a 1.9 for a while, and as of 2003, the C230 has a 1.8L. Don't trust german naming schemes.

In the US the only engines offered in the CLK are the 3.2L V6 and 5.0L V8, the 3.2L is more than attequate in powering the CLK, giving it smooth and correct feeling power. It feels really good with it. It isn't fast, but it isn't slow either. The 5.0L is a hot rod, a butter smooth rocket sled, and a ton of fun. I've driven a C240, and have to say, it was smooth and responsive, but it felt like it just didn't have as much go. The C230k was faster, but i missed the composure the 2.6L had. I don't think it's bad, i just think the CLK is a bit big of a car, that might just be because i'm in america though, and usually we only get the biggest engines here. We haven't gotten a 318i in years.

I love the CLK though. I'd buy one in a hearbeat (well, i'd have an M3 first, but the CLK would be a super close seccond). If you like how it feels with that engine, then i think you did great.

Unfourtanatly the waiting list for one is making me wait until march.
but i will tell you what i think of it then!
im gettin loads of extras like sat nav, designo leather seats, memory seats, tele, phone etc and it is gona cost me over £40,000.
is that worth it or shall i cut the extras and go for a clk 500 or maybe even the amg?

but i dont have as many extras as you.

i took a ride in a clk 320, i hated it. the ride feel real werid, i dono how, but it just didnt feel right. my 850 feels way better, i cant wait till i get it back in spring with a new engine :>

his 850 is like a 94 or 96. He destroyed his spendy little M70 V12 under the hood. The low oil light came on, he thought the computer was going nuts and kept going - only to find he had lost a bolt or two in his pan gasket.

If i were you, i'd cut the extras and get the CLK500. The AMG is a bit quicker, but not enough to justify the price difference. i didn't feel anything wrong when I rode in one, the way mercedes cars ride is pretty different from BMW, the whole feel of accelerating and cornering is just different in them. I like them both, the BMW feels sportier even when it isn't being driven hard, it just begs to be pushed, the mercedes is just a cool customer, always smooth and composed no matter what, it always feel calm. it's just taste. I like the CLK a lot, i just think you need better than the 2.6L V6 for that big of a sports coupe to really enjoy it best. Even the CLK320 would be a nice step up, but the CLK500 is just so nice

nah i think i will stick with the clk240, i think it is better value than the others, besides a small engined mercedes benz is still a mercedes benz
