Well of course we've already talked about the top speed in what we've done in our cars and I've done 180-190mph in mine, can't remember which but it was somewhere in that ballpark.

Default THAT PIC!

just wondering were you got that pic from. is it on 3si? i have never seen that engine bay and could possibly be the most powerful 3s in the world. would you mind posting any information on it? thanks

downforce at 180 or 190? I've yet to find any reliable data on anyone getting a 3kgt to go that fast period. Aerodynamics is a very very finessed science. You can't neccesarily calculate it by looks. It's tricky and full of bizarre phenomenon. Not only would a 3kgt fly (like lift off) at 190, but where exactly do you have a road you can do that, one smooth, straight, and flat enough for that with no traffic?

Wow you realy like to tell stories dont you skyline?Ive worked at a number of car dealers transporting cars, and at the moment i happen to work for mitsubishi.I know for a fact that it is impossible for a 3000 to go 190 without significantly changing the aerodynamics.I drive these cars almost every day over very long distances.Ive taken a 3000 to about 139 when it started to feel a bit unstable.Your talking 50 mph faster than that.It cannot be done with that car.if you went 190 with that car you would have died that day and i know it.there are few cars that can safley go 190.the 3000 is not one of them.

Once again SERGIO you're an ***** for not knowing what somebody has done to their car. I frankly could give a rats ass wtf you believe, why can't you figure that out by now?

It doesn't matter what anybody on this site (including me) says if you have never done it yourself. When you have experience in dealing with the aerodynamic's of the GTO THEN you have the right to say it's impossible to get a GTO VR-4 over 170.

Like I said please stop saying shit can't be done unless you've dealt with it yourself instead of talking out your ass because you have some sort of mechanical/engineering knowledge. Knowledge and experience are 2 different things.
SERGIO, just because you work for Mitsu doesn't mean you know everything. You'll learn this one day that you're not always right like you think you are, but i'll leave this upto you to see for yourself. ;)

I usually do HWY-19, it's about 2 blocks from my house. It's an evacuation route. It's extremely long, very smooth in probably 99% of the area and pretty straight. Traffic is usually very very minimal between 10am-12pm and 10pm-morning. Excluding Friday's and the weekend.

Downforce goes with studying the cars aerodynamic capabilities. Alot of people say it's impossible to have the older gen' neon's over 160+ but there've been alot of people who have done it.

Whoever said it was safely and felt securely doing it? All I recall is hearing 190 can't be done, I don't remember seeing a post saying it can't be done safely. Then i'd change my posts.

Its funny that all u recall hearing was 190 cant be done, because i dont recall saying that. But i can recall saying it cant be done without significantly changing the aerodynamics of the car.probly so much it wouldnt even look like a 3000 anymore.Im not just talking about a giant park banck wing like you probly have.

wow, it continues. amazing.

The fundemental aerodynamics of a car can't be easily changed. You say we don't know what you've done to your 3000GT, that might be true. By the way you talk about it, I don't think you have a concept of what 190mph is either.

You can't alter the fundemental aerodynamics of a car with a wing and some side skirts, and a chin spoiler. Those won't do, literally anything, to a poorly aerodynamically designed car. Unless you've ripped the 3000GT body of your car and put a ferrari F575MM body in its place, you aren't doing 190 and living to talk.

And explain to me how a first generation neon does better than 160. I can mathematically prove that impossible. First off, top gear at the redline is barely doing 120 in that car. I've been in a neon with a wing and some under the hood mods done at 120, it's first off (loud), seccondly it's all over the place. The most gentle gust of wind and that thing would blow away, that's at 120. It wouldn't make it to 160, period. There just isn't enough you could do to that car to make it aerodynamically sound at high speed.

Dude, get real.

If you do a search on this site or goto my name and look at previous posts, I've posted vaguely on this site what i've done to the car. The whole car has been completely redone and yes it still looks like a GTO.

It's been done numerous times if you don't believe me, goto www.google.com and search up the 3000gt vr-4 forums and start asking questions, most that have highly modified track GTO's (not dragsters) have reached upwards of 160 and over 180+.

Don't ask me how a neon can go 160, I don't know anything about those cars and rightly so. I was going to show you the vid and post that I saw it but both are unavailable from the server and "The page cannot be displayed".

Please start doing a search before making anymore posts because all you're doing is showing ignorance with every post. Thanks.
