Default S2000 Worste car ever!

I'm sure many are going to argue with me, but yesterday I drove a S2000 on a track and it is by far the biggest POS ever!

Okay it is small, light, fast and steers sharp. I'll admit to that but handeling wise it is horrible! One little bump, one move to fast and it's out of control and once it's out of control you're not going to get it back anytime soon. Your only option is to let it go and hope it stops without hitting something. One little slip, a little bit too fast and there it goes!

When you go over little bumps or curbstones the car is immediatly launched into the air! The last lap I drove it, I raced over a curbstone and the rightside of the car was way up in the air! I'm sure that if it wasn't for me leaning to the right that the car would've end up on it's side. After that I wanted to get out of that deathtrap ASAP!

This car is #1 one my worste track cars list and I'm sure it will stay there for a long time.

ive never heard anyone say that about this car. my friend has one and i always thought it was very nimble for what it was. it has adequate power so it doesnt break loose very much. you sure you werent just driving it too hard?

I think any good sportscar could be pushed pretty hard without threatening to lose it like that.

Biggest POS ever ...

* Honda S2000 - #1

* AMC Gremlin - #2

The thing is that it really doesn't feel like I was pushing hard. I come in for a turn, steer in and if there's anything on the road it doesn't like then it's all over the place. So that's point 1. You hit the curbstone, the road is wet, anything.

The second is that okay you might push it a little bit too hard but in most cars there is still a huge margin for correction. This car there has no margin, mostly because the steering dynamics are all wrong It slips, because of it's light weight it has no traction at all, and when it finally does get traction you're probably steering into the wrong direction!

There is absolutely no way to predict what way the car will go when it does slip and what effects the corrections you make are going to have.

And lets face it, it's all about the sensation. If the car doesn't give you any feeling at all then it's pretty useless as a supercar. I really didn't have the feeling I was going fast and I wasn't really pushing the car that hard.

The biggest point is that the car has alot of oversteer. It's unbelievable, but if you go through corners on average speeds and steer-in like you're supposed the car losses it completely! It just throws it's ass around! Once that happens, it happens alot, then it's over.

It's lightweight combined with it's tendency to oversteer make this car a nightmare to drive.

Take a look at the S2000 again and drive it urself. It doesn't suck trust me.
It, along with the NSX, is one of the best cars Honda has ever made.
I give it a thumbs up.

The problem in this case is the person behind the wheel.

Out of curiosity what is your normal car for track days?

Variaty of cars. Spyker C8, Ferrari 512LM, Mercedes E500, BMW M3, Honda Civic.

Anywayz, I knew somebody would be going for the "you are a inexperienced driver" method. Just a warning at hand, don't even go there.
