Hey guys.... im new to this fourm,so I'd give you a little background before I ask my question.... ok im a 15 yearold student from northern VA and yes, my parents have a little bit of money.... I have this deal with them right now that if I get good enough grades in school they will buy me the car that I want (so I of course I said, "Toyota Supra") I also said this before F&F thank you very much. And if I get this car I wanna do it right, I wanna have my own wrench time under this hood, not some garage's time.... now I know there are limitations to what I can and cant do on my own, and i know that I am going to have to go to some garages to get the parts that I have no clue about installed, but I do have some decent background knowlege on working on cars.... as of right now I am helping my best friend's brother out with his 240sx swap to a Silvia..... so im getting some expierence with cars.... what I want to know is if, I mean when, I get my Supra.... what I am going to need to do to it first, what aftermarket stuff to get first, so forth and so on.... so any help would be greatly appreciated from you guys.... oh by the way, if I dont make the grade, im probably getting a BMW325i.... so I dont think im screwed either way, but I really want this supra.

Welcome Steve.
Good luck in school.
15 years how many years left for driving license?.

First is it the Toyota Supra MKIV TT your talking about?. You know theres a version without turbo.

If so the 6speeds are realy hard to find atleast here in Europe. I think most of these cars are allready BPU(Basic performance upgrade) a good BPU car will put out over 450hp. If you seen the Getaway In Stockholm with the Supra thats how fast one BPU Supra is. BPU is also a good level to start with and it comes quite cheap. If you going over that like on a automatic you have to purchase $5k for upgraded transmission. I could write you a list with what i think is the best parts for a BPU. If your parents have some money over i think they would pay a company that sells the parts do the job for some small amount.

Downpipe
Exhaust
Boost Cut Controller
Boost Controller
Boost Gauge

This list could be larger like with

Spark
BOV
Intake system
Cam Gears
Underdriven Crank Pulley

List can always be longer like with camshafts and other things. Hey soon your buying a Fuelsystem and Turbokit.

Default Cool Nice Choice

Hey Steve.

Can you install a turbo yourself? I'd definitely recommend that (along with 18" or 19" alloy wheels), especially if the car doesn't come with a turbo. That's about what I'd do. I Hope you get the gradez, cuz I couldn't and I got nothing! Good luck buddy!
