methanol is toxic as sin, but sounds like a fun fuel.

ethanol can be grown in the US, is cheap, clean, naturally very high octane, and is renewable, aside from again, very low emmissions, and we could still drive cars that barked, growled, ramped up the power as the RPMs rised, and each had their own personalities. Electric motors are linear and predictable, totally, they have no personality or soul at all. And proponents of electric cars boggle me. The electricity to power that car was made by burning coal, which last time i checked was dirtier than gas, ethanol, methanol, or any other fun fossil fuel.

hybrids aren't a bad idea for people who don't enjoy driving and like gas mileage, but electric motors just don't give me the thrill of a barky exhaust note, it takes away part of the driving experience.

I will go ahead and toot my own horn and say I mentioned gas engines having " soul " first, also in the Amazing 80s' thread last year .

Well, when automobiles first came on the scene, they really didn't possess much soul then either, a lot of curiosities sure, but not a lot of soul. They were basically horse drawn buggies with no horse. Electric is that way now, not very fun. But down the road, they could be engineered to produce their own unique, and preferably desirable, sound. Motors such as these have always been engineered to be as silent as possible, now they need to find a way to give them a voice.

I thought about that one, but people might find that a little fake. Even though the BMW Z4 has a similar feature, the sounds are derived from a real engine, not a computer program. No, that would not be cool.

Ok i was jus staring at the pix of it and was pondering a few things. U know brainstorming.

Look at the big ass mouth it has and the long nose inlet slits.
I was thinking, wat if u had the 3.8L V6 turbocharged or supercharged???
The V6 is already putting out 270hp NA so if u turbocharge it could easily reach 400-450hp. Along with having the E-boost e-motor adding an extra 200horses u could have a total of 600-700hp.

I mentioned it had a big ass mouth becuz u could fit one helluva sized FMIC without mod'in ur bumper like we hafto do now. That could suck in tremendous amounts of cold air and making throttle response better than ever. I was also thinkin that since the nose inlets r there and open, u could maybe add a ram air induction system or suffin of the sort upto it to add even more power to the beast. Then this would basically decimate everything in its path and be included in the supercar category.

I mean yeah it won't have all the refinery's and luxurious features that makes a supercar SUPER.
But the quickness of it would be astounding to say the least and actually be surprising 2 see the fastness of it 2.
Then it could easily be taking on Egg's, Zonda's and Enzo's......etc

But imma stop daydreaming now and quit thinkin so much be4 my head explodes.
I guess me "trying" to be an engineer ain't one of my best car traits
Welp i'm gone to bed its 3:45am and i jus wore out my brain. niters

Morning. Well, the front air inlet could very well be a lot of black plastic in a production model. Like on the BMW M5, the actual space for the air to go through is not nearly as large as the opening itself. Chances are, a car like what you're talking about would never be built, not factory. But keep dreaming anyway, thats' how cool things gets' invented.
