Rep Power: 10 | i'm saying that every time i've seen numbers of an NSX going through a race course against other cars, it always does phenomenally well. It is supremely well balanced, shifts the weight, and the most profound thing about it is that while you may have to be driving your 100% to pull 75% out of some cars, you hardly have to put forth any effort and the NSX is performing amazingly. It is just hard to describe how easy they are to get to perform. Effortless.
It's a good car, just not for the money. It has refinement on damn near everything in the supercar bracket.

Rep Power: 9 | As far as " exotics " go, NSX is about as good a buy as you're likely to get. It's a fabulous driver's car for about 90k, and a Ferrari does not provide 2X the looks, 2X the performance and balance, or 2X anything, except perhaps cylinder count. So, really a Ferrari is a massive rip off, while the NSX is a lot like it's economy car brethren in that it's " cheap ", comfortable, and reliable. It's a great package.
As for the Brembo factory option for the Z. It's probably safe to say that anything like that is just watered down, and made primarily for marketing clout.

Rep Power: 5 | Ouch! Thank god ya'll told me this now i seriously considered in getting one bout 3 months ago.
Then i left it my mind to get a E36 M3 but started to consider it again.
But since i know now that the Track model is jus a bunch of $4,000 waste.
I'd rather spend around $17,000 for a '95 E36 M3 and see if i can get the BMW dealer here
to find me the lightweight version if he could, if not then the regular version.
I was also thinking about trading my SDS '03 Eclipse in order to get the E36 M3. Give me ya'lls opinions on that?
Although i can tell how the reactions r gonna be already, i like 2 see if i'm right or wrong. :P :P

Rep Power: 9 | 27K? Forget that. 350Z is a poseur, if you really want to save money and "rip" people, find a used car that was cutting edge maybe 5 years ago and buy it. Because chances are good, it can still rip most cars on the street, including the 350Z.
It comes down to whether you want your money to go for performance ( old car ) or to pay for some CEO's corn flakes and toilet paper ( new car ). It's your call.

yeah a used car without a warrenty. and if it was cutting edge then im guessing it was a porsche.. and good luck finding a good one for 27k. and even if you do, good luck making it run. the 350z outperforms a lot of cars, it has a lot of bang for the buck. there is a reason the new boxster will be in the 30k range... because why would people spend 50k more on something that is outperformed by a 30k car.
also explain to me how the 350z is a poseur?

Rep Power: 9 | A good well built car does not need a warranty, it's nice, but not needed. If whether you have a warranty or not effects your purchase then buy a Saturn. There is also such a thing as extended warranty. Porsche is just one cutting edge maker.
350Z is a bit of a poseur because it's running on image, attempting to cash in on the street racer crowd. " Look at me, I have Brembos'! " Whatever. It's not particularly sharp, as big as the engine is, it should probably have more power. My '97 M3 can run with that thing, and beat it in a lot of catagories. It's just rediculous to think a person is going to own the streets in a $27,000 Nissan. If you really want a shot at owning the streets, you can do a lot better in a car that cost 40-50k 5 years ago, thats' what I'm saying. Not only that, but you can't do much to a 350Z without voiding the warranty, so much for that. You have a Z so it's natural to stick up for it, but can you really say that it's the best bang around for that much money? As for new cars, what about the STi and Evo, or Mustang Mach 1 for that matter?

Rep Power: 6 | ill be the first to say that im not pleased by the Z. im not sticking up for it, but its not a poseur. it beats, or performs on par with a lot of respectable cars for a great price. as far as the sti and evo go... the STI is amazing, but 32k. i fell in love with that car when i drove it. but it does not handle as well as the Z. the evo... well the evo is crap. i drove that right after the sti, and it was a waste of time. it is faster than the z from a launch. but off of a roll i beat them every time. not worth 30k. and as far as the mustang... i think new mustangs are the biggest load of crap america produces, aside from the cobra. but even then, it needed a supercharger to be good. find me a car that does 0-60 in 5.4, 1/4 in 13.8, slalom on par with an nsx, and a pulls .99gs on a 200ft skid, all for less than 30k. granted i paid more that 30. i paid 32 for my performance models because it had a few options i liked. i wish i would have waited and bought the sti, or an e46 m3. but come january i am going to buy one. wither the e46 m3, g35 coupe, or sti. i need backseats. the 350z is NOT fast enough to sacrifice back seats. maybe if it was a 12 second car that did the slalom at 70. but its not.
