From reading the posts in the BMW forum, it sounds like it's next to impossible. The cars are so great, nobody wants to sell them.

I saw one with a 6spd and 90,000 miles go last year for 23k, i still kick myself for not jumping on it. If you dig around, you can find one, but you may have to pick it up on the other side of the country, they are rare, but well worth the trouble.

Tell me about it. 840Ci and 850Ci no problem, maybe because of the fact they're auto shifters. But the 850CSi forget it, it's damn near impossible.

I think I've seen one, and only one. It was silver, and I saw it near where I live two years ago. Haven't seen one since. You'll pretty much have to go looking for one of these bad boys in the right place. I'm sure 850CSi is really hard to find, but if you look hard enough you shuold be able to find at least 1, seeing as to how you live in N.Y..
