Default Should I keep my 1996 A4 ?

I own a 96 A4 and it starts to have problem. I just paid $1000 for what the dealer said it's not supposed to happen.

Should I trade in this car for a new one or should I keep it? What's the annual maintenance cost like for an A4 after year 6? Please help me ...

Default A4

how many miles are on it? The 2.8L is hardy, and the car is one of the best put together vehicles made. Unless it has a boatload of miles (175k+) and you have taken care of it, the cost of upkeep should be low. That said, the new A4 is a completely incredible car!

The A4's are getting better and better every year. At the very least that's the case with the design of the A4s. I'd say sell your old A4 and get a new one!

no way! the old A4 has 10 times the character, drives just as well, and feels more like a german road car, the new one feels softened up.

Dude what model A4 are you talking about? The '94 model? I'd take a tweaked 2004 A4 or S4 over any other Audi. Besides the engines have slightly better milage and less emmissions while putting out a few more horses. The design of the last A4s (the ones before the current A4s) were good too, but I'd take the new one for looks too. And how do they feel softened up?
